Congrats to those getting one of these and to eFx for selling these so quickly.
Now hopefully they'll meet their target (quality wise) and timetable for delivery and will put the stealth and BD shields up for pre-order sooner than later.
I might wait for eFx to get a stealth shield but if it doesn't go up for preoder soon I will definitely explore other options. Strike the iron while it's hot.

I wasn't going to wait to see how fast they were going to sell out. I got the the full price option shield 4 minutes after they opened it up to buy. It took them 2 + years to have these available. I knew they would sell out quick.

Actually it's quite weird because I got my first shied a couple of weeks ago and now I can't picture my life without another couple of shields (which would be a stealth and a clean one since I went with a BD shield first). Damn you addiction !

Nice thing I see about getting an efx shield is that if I choose to, I can turn the Chris Fields shield I have into a BD one.

Source? Not doubting you, just curious where the intel about 26 inch shields came from? I've always thought those looked massive.

I'll have to dig around a bit, but the shields that sold at auction last year were 25"

Wow! Sold out that fast?? That is crazy. Disappointed that I was too late but thrilled that the shields were a smashing success! Surely this exceptionally positive response to the shields will ensure that they make more? Or did they plan on only making 1500 TOTAL? That sucks, if so. Hopefully I can still get in on the BD version! Anyone have any idea as to how long before shields will be available again from eFx?

Well considering it took them over 2 years to finally make and start selling them who knows. It shouldn't be hard for them to make more in the stealth and BD version as its just a different paint scheme, but still just have to wait and see now. But I have a hunch they'll be the same price as the one they just put out and I wouldn't be surprised if they sell those as exclusive items with a small number made.

Pre ordered mine from Alter Ego Comics. They won't charge your card til it comes in stock, from what I understand, retailers like this get a certain guaranteed allotment of an item, so they must still have some available if anyone still wants one...

Well I see already I have been charged the full amount for the shield so I know I got in on the first 200 being shipped just waiting on the email from efx now. Just wonder what number I'll get. I'd like to hope that because I ordered it 4 minutes after they started it that I'd get a really low number but I'll just have to wait and see.

My mistake, my shield is apparently 25" and I didn't realize Evans had an even smaller shield for carrying on his back. But 18" seems WAY too small for his size, could that be right?

Here's a 25" shield on my back and my dimensions aren't too far off from Evans, anything smaller than say 23" would look too small no?

Well, King Arts has started their pre-orders for the shields though it's not certain if they're offering only the red/blue version or also the stealth and battle-damaged shields from The Winter Soldier:



According to their Facebook page, their shields are 60cm in diameter (or just under 24")

Hm, those shields looks great. I actually like the aluminum over the fiberglass...Does anyone have any experience dealing with King Arts? Seems like it would be compicated, being international and all. If they're easy to deal with, I might be interested in it. Also, what is the price of the shield? Having a hard time translating.
