eFx Collectibles Announce THE AVENGERS Limited Edition Replicas

I'm a bit confused by the option to buy International shipping at $26.50 on the Efx site, I'm unclear as to whether that means you are buying a replica of the prop, which I doubt, but if you aren't then what exactly is that paying for other than the obvious?

Does anyone outside the US have experience with this particular aspect of ordering a S.H.I.E.L.D. badge replica from the Efx site?

Thanks

That's just the cost of international shipping. If you did not order one prior to NYCC, then my understanding is that you cannot order it anymore.

Regarding shipping notices, I never even got one for my Thor hammer, so the badges could have already shipped for people who paid for them.

We apologize for the delay in shipping the S.H.I.E.L.D. badges, but our pallet was returned damaged from New York. We are still waiting for the insurance company to come out to check it out. The good news is that the badges are OK, but they damaged our display case and some of the prototypes!

We are hoping to ship the badges in the next few days. Thanks for your patience!

Bryan,

Please let us know when the pre-orders for the Captain America shield and Iron Man helmet will begin.

Bryan, if you have not heard back from them by now, pester them ATLEAST twice a day. I worked as a shipping department supervisor for almost 20 years. When I first started, I had an adjuster that waited months to come out for photos and an assessment. That one time made me never wait more than 48 hours without pestering them to death to be there quickly. Some assessors hope you will violate the contract by getting into the shipment. Anything over a week is a bad sign for them to keep you hanging. Good luck and I hope your reimbursed for all the damages.

Same Here! :)
Cool, looks like Bryan got past the adjuster. Hope they get compensated fairly.

Now, the logistics of trying to figure out my budget to get a Thor's Hammer yet. :cool

This still does not explain why eFX has not answered any of my communication. :cry

Got shipping notification for the badge!

Still no confirmation or communication for me. :(

Did you 'purchase' and pay for the shipping for it, Usagi?

Yessir...The same minute I got my e-mail.

Between waiting for that e-mail & the one from ThinkGeek, I believe I've checked my e-mail more in the last 2 weeks than since I first bought a computer.:lol

UPDATE__

Just got an e-mail explaining that the pallet was damaged & they have to match up the IDs to the badges. Still hasn't shipped, but will by weekend...hopefully.

We apologize for the delay in shipping your Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Badge and ID Card, but as some of you may have read on our Facebook page, our pallet was damaged on its way back from New York. We were informed by the insurance company to not take apart the pallet until they had a chance to inspect it since we were filing a claim. The good news is the badges are OK, but they did damage our display case and some of our prototypes.

We started to ship the badges today, so some of you may have already received a shipping notification from the United States Postal Service. All of the badges should be shipped by this weekend. It takes a little time, since we have to match up the ID Cards with each order, since the name on the ID card did not necessarily match the name of the person who ordered it.

One thing to note when you receive your badge is that we printed the ID Cards in the US and thus, they are not in the box with the badge. They are in the protective "bubble' bag, so please do not throw it away!

Thanks once again for your patience!

Something I am confused on... Is there going to be a non-exclusive version of the Coulson badge available ever?

If it had been clear from the start that we would be able to have the badges shipped, instead of only being available for pick-up (and that this would be the only chance to get one without resorting to ebay) I would have ordered one... I see now that earlier in this thread someone posted an email sent by EFX that mentions this shipping option, but that was certainly not listed on their site back in September when the badge was still available.

I guess it was a bad assumption on my part that the 'Exclusive Edition' label referred to the personalized ID card and that there would be a larger production run of a "standard edition" Coulson badge for sale to the general public later on... I know this is kind of whiny but at the same time I feel it's not unreasonable to be somewhat annoyed that EFX did not post any information about this shipping option on their own website, and instead relied on message board postings to get it out there. But then again maybe they didn't want it to be broadcast to discourage those not attending the Con from purchasing (though that leads back to "oh there must be a standard edition coming later"). Just very confusing.

Initially there wasn't a shipping option posted with the preorder, but the info was later added to the site... And no, I'm not referring to the actual "add this shipping option to your cart to have your badge shipped." It was posted before that was ever communicated
