Next they're going to edit Jaws and replace the shark attack scenes with scenes from Whale wars.... make it look like the sharks were the good guys and humans the bad guys from the beginning.

So when is Spielberg going to edit the Nazis out of the Indiana Jones movies?
(That would follow this trend, he didn't want to do with them after Schindler's List).

From another standpoint: I paid to see the movie, I paid to see it on DVD, so I paid your car, food and whatever you need. Don't friggin' mess with the movie I love to see!

You know, that's an interesting point when you think about it. You pay for cable, most of it is not free access.
So... why should I have to pay for crap I don't want to see because a few people are too dumb to pay attention to their children or insist on acting like children by being offended by everything under the sun?
If you want a family movie, get a family movie. Stop trying to watch Pulp Ficition while the kids are running around the living room. And if your offended by language and violence, why are you watching Pulp Ficition in the first place? :lol

THIS. but id say "anything" instead of just "dialog". "anything" however does not include making a very important change to the story itself in a directors cut, those are ok.
if you sit back and think how the world is changing due to those events, it is just
1, another reminder that it happened,
2, them leaving a lasting mark on our society,
3, exactly what they wanted.
to keep at it, and looking back on them, you're giving them a victory forever. to forget about them, you're doing the world a favor through progressing past that. that is a major reason why i cant stand reading threads about 9/11. in one breath they say they're terrorists and they hate them and they should go to hell, fantastic. but to keep giving them the time of your day, to remember that they did that, to show that they have that power over you, they won.
even if its something so stupid like taking terrorist out of back to the future and guns out of et.

Man you cut the Nazis out of Schindler's list and its about 45 minutes long lol. I remember the first time they showed it on tv it was totally unedited including the nudity, the FCC would never okay it now. Shows how much pull Spielburg has. As for Wolfenstein it was badly censored for the SNES lol.
Actually, it was allowed to play unedited for it's educational and historical accuracy.
Fine to hate Nazi's but not terrorists. Now do you suppose they will cut the scenes out of Patriot Games because terrorists try to kill members of the Royal family? Or...is it just a certain type of terrorist the Hollywood elite wants to cozy up to? Perhaps they are just....CHICKEN!!!

It's really hard to take any of this editing seriously, when they still make slasher flicks, action movies with people shooting each other, things blowing up, and people dying in all sorts of ways(they can imagine). But oh no, we said the word "terrorist" that has to go.
I see no need for Hollywood to worry, terrorists seem far more interested in relevant targets.
