I understand you’re not happy but for the record you pmd we twice when I didn’t get a chance to respond to your first PM.

We are lucky enough to have a shop in our garage but for the two of us this isn’t a full time job it’s and evening and weekend project like a lot of builders on here doing runs and making their own props.

@KillerofSaints; I think that I speak for everyone that has paid a deposit. We have been patiently waiting for progress and the completion of this prop. Would you please provide us with a very realistic deadline, or it's time to start providing us with refunds. I can understand a "no refund" policy to secure a spot and to commit a buyer to the purchase after materials and time have been spent on an item. However, if a product is not provided at all, I think that it is only fair to return the money. This is not a case where the buyers are not paying for the item in full after it's been completed either. I, for one, have also been looking forward to this prop, but if it's not going to happen anytime very soon, then provide the refunds. Please get back to us on this. Thank you.

We had setbacks in production, and personal commitments l, I realize that people are not happy with delays we aren’t either. There are material costs in producing runs and the deposit only covers the materials. This is common practice for most products such as this as you mentioned.

For people who have concerns about us not supplying a product they are unwarranted. We have provided many projects to clients in the past and people are. However we will not provide an inferior product to our standards just to meet a deadline. We want you to be as happy as possible with the end product.

In light of the delay we are reasonable, feel free to pm or call me at 281-908-0150 and we can arrange a refund and take you off the run.

Thank you for the response and update. As said, I am still looking forward to a prop that is museum quality and not sub-par. I can wait a couple of weeks, and I'll be looking forward to progress and updates as well.

We have the master repaired and the new Mold completed shown in the pic with the aluminum edges set.

We will be casting blades this weekend and will post the progress as it might require tweaking.

This is the first pull, untouched right out of the mould. It is 1.25” wide, 1/8” thick aluminium strip cast embedded in perfectly flush on both sides.

We will keep proceeding on pulling the rest then weathering and finishing. We are still awaiting the redone stickers for the label.

We have started on the weathering the first blade. We really want it to look like it’s come off of an actual copter before being turned into the sword.

Production continues we have three blades pulled. It takes a bit of time to mill the aluminum edges. Weight is close to 4.5 lbs when completed.

Update

The good:
We have figured out the final design of the cut rotor edge of the sword. There are almost no head on shots of this end of the sword so we wanted it to be super realistic. So it’s like a cross section of an actual helicopter rotor with the rod foam and aluminum honeycomb.

We have also locked down the weathering (will have more darker areas applied) and have the sticker design locked in and ordered.

The bad:

The stickers are at least a week out and we also have work commitments so we will be gone for a week.

So we expect to start sending out final payments in about 3 weeks for those first on the list.

We really do strive for the highest level possible in our work. We also have to figure stuff out as we go sometimes but we have it locked in and are on track now.
