Edge of Tomorrow ( Live Die Repeat) (Post-release)

Re: Edge of Tomorrow (Post-release)

I'm not really one to hold someone's religious beliefs against them, but after watching Going Clear the other night, I really think I may have to throw away the few Tom Cruise movies I have and never speak of the guy again. I just can't get past how out of touch this guy really is.

You sound like you are doing exactly what you said you don't do.

Re: Edge of Tomorrow (Post-release)

Yeah, you're right. I'm not going to throw them out. Actually some good movies there. Its just that Scientology stuff--well, we won't get into that discussion here.

Re: Edge of Tomorrow (Post-release)

Yeah anyone who doesn't see this movie purely in protest of the actor's religion (I wonder how many films people have watched not knowing a majority of the crew being of a religious belief conflicting with your own you've seen) is a pretty ridiculous reason to not watch this spectacular film. It was such an underrated film and was far better than most of the stuff that came out last year. I would rank this probably my 3rd favorite film of the year alongside Guardians of the Galaxy and Winter Soldier.

(hope this doesn't post multiple times, kept getting logged out)

I love this movie. It is one of the few movies I have watched twice in the same day. It a mash-up of Groundhog day, Matrix and Aliens.
OK, so TC is a nut job. Fame and money at an early age can mess people up.

Oddly, this movie rebuffs Simon Pegg's criticism of SciFi as childish. I thought the character change from smug coward to caring hero was brilliantly written and acted.
In many movies, cowards are always cowards until one pivotal scene and they "suddenly" find courage in an instant..
