Re: Echo Station 57, we're on our way....slowly

I have never maintained such a high level of anticipation for something for as long as this Speeder. As usual, your work is fantastic and I simply cannot wait to get one.

Re: Echo Station 57, we're on our way....slowly

Gotta agree with everyone here - this has been a pleasure to watch. I can't wait to get my hands on this one.

Re: Echo Station 57, we're on our way....slowly

I've just started to contact the first people on my list, and to make the first kits so the ball is rolling at last. Cost has ended up $430+ shipping. That will include decals.

NB: I'm going to organise things in the following way.

  • Contact people to confirm order & details
  • Wait 2 weeks for a response. If none received I will offer their kit to the next person in the queue and so on.
  • Once I reach the end of the main list I will contact people on the backup list.
  • If people do get in touch after the 2 week window I will still supply a kit but they will have lost their place in the queue.
This seems the fairest way to go and keeps my cashflow moving! - Hope everyone is ok with this.

As this thread has effectively come to an end in terms of building/updates I will not post any further messages here but possibly start something in the Junkyard or just communicate with individuals.

Cheers
Nick

Sounds fair Nick!
Will you contact thru PM or email?
The reason I´m asking is that I have changed my email.

Re: Echo Station 57, we're on our way....slowly

I can use PM. If you like you can PM me your email too.

Cheers
Nick

Re: Echo Station 57, we're on our way....slowly

I will understand if it doesn't happen, but I truly hope my name eventually comes up on the backup list, because this is one of the all time best SS kits ever. :)

Excitement is not quite an appropriate word for this project..... Nick... you have done an amazing job! :D

Re: Echo Station 57, we're on our way....slowly

Re: Echo Station 57, we're on our way....slowly

Thanks for the kind words. I'm getting a bit worried though that your expectations are getting beyond what I can actually deliver! - this is my first garage kit remember! :confused

Re: Echo Station 57, we're on our way....slowly

I don't think you have anything to worry about there,Nick!
All the work you've done and shown us has just been outstanding mate.I'll be more than happy if i can get my build looking like the one you did there.
I'm just not sure if i made the list or the back up one as i was pretty late getting on this but i couldn't register here till then.I'll be looking forward to seeing a pm from you when the time comes though.:cool

Re: Echo Station 57, we're on our way....slowly

I got the test casting today, and will size the markings to the kit, so everyone can have awesome decals!

This kit BLOWS MY MIND. Seriously. I have no idea what was used to cast the upper and lower shells (and main engine bits) but it's like some sort of super-lightweight fiberglass. Strong, CRISPLY CAST, square and true.

All of the resin parts are equally well cast. Plus, the pilot/gunner are awesome and look like they're doing the robot. Heh. The arrival/timing was perfect too - Wynnstudio, SDStudios, and JTGraphics were over today, and everyone agreed that it kicks ass. There are a few very minor areas that need a smidge of filler, but no one but the Japanese make perfect castings, hehe.

Gort - you have NOTHING to fear if this is indicative of what everyone else is going to get.
