Easiest way to remove leafing/glue?

Welp, my experiment in leafing tonight turned into a world of crap, and now I have to get this crap off my prop.

So... anyone know of a good way to do this that won't harm the resin?

Kinda scared to use solvents, but I don't know if soap/water will get rid of the glue or the leafing easy enough.

Maybe a scrubbing sponge?

Any tips appreciated!
Chris

Most resins are pretty resistant to solvents, I've used lacquer thinner and acetone with no problem. Still do a test first to be sure. If there are any fillers or putty on the part it will be affected.

But the leafing glue I've used before was water soluble, so soap and water may do it. Soak it then scrub with a scouring pad.
