Finally a small update for you all. Spent the last few weeks getting parts that needed mirroring done, the ears on and the back screws in. just redoing the chin detailing so once thats finished will get a series of proper photos done to show the finished article :)

Thanks Drack, yes it is my mark 6 in my profile pic, I will get a thread going soon I want to do some more work on it before I start one up unfortunately the poor weather has put it on hold.

However it hasn't stopped me from starting on the mark 7, I have link to my tumblr blog with more pics and stuff on my profile...but a thread will be coming soon!

Cheers

Thank SgtScully hopefully I will have this finished soon. Although I am not completely happy with the teeth so might redo them. I keep finding little things I am not happy with which is really slowing it down, ah well I guess that's what you get for starting from foam.

What did you use to seal up any gaps you may have had from the foam pieces

I didn't have any gaps :)
I have a friend who uses household bathroom silicone to seal his so you can try that.

Hi, I have some Qs on the snap fasterners.
What is the strip of material u use between the foam and fasterners?
Do u just use hot glue as adhesive?

Re: Dracks Ironman MK VI Build. (page1 includes info on foam armour building)

It's just 3mm pvc so that they are easier to snap shut. The foam isn't firm enough so put them under to distribute the force. I just hot glue gunned them on but remember some one saying there's pulled off when unsnapping. I did make sure I applied a lot of glue though underneath and up the sides of the snaps. Just be careful not to get glue on the snaps faces, obvious I know :)
Oh and make a 4mm deep hole for the PVC to sit in. That way your pieces lie flush to each other.

Drack, I have really enjoyed watching the build and I appreciate how many questions you've answered. I'm a foam newbie working on my first set of Mass Effect armor and the tutorials/answers have been a huge help.

Keep it up!

Small update :)

Been smoothing the helmet and got the chin detail in now. Still need to add a screw to it then tidy up the teeth, well remove them. I am not happy with their alignment and there is that little strip along the top on the jaw that just has to go. I did have a reason for it when I started the build but changed my plans along the way.

Hope you like.
