definetly a fun toy, here's a few shots of what I did with mine, sanded down the body texture and applied it with crackle paint.

None of the sonic screwdriver toys have the black wires inside spin. I own several and none of mine or any that I have seen do what you are describing above.

nope, no spin, i had the first version adn the latest, never spun, never even heard of that, its not supposed to.

Its actually quite held in place and just a chunk of plastic...an odd statement to say the least!
