Dr Fate Helmet

This has been high on my list for a long time. I have never seen one made, I figured I would need to make it myself (but I have never done that before:unsure)
 
I don't want to take credit for someone elses work but it looks like the one I made for my friend Leman in our group. He know the guys at DC comics andd I know a few of the editors have one. I made the helmet at least 6 or 7 years ago. leman and Edward it the group did a rework about 4 years ago. Leman made the mediilion for the costume also.There maybe picture at Lemen site. I made the helmet for Leman. He has the helmet and the mold. You might try him.His email is on the page I posted. Click on Leman Yuen and tell him I sent you.

I definitely want a Dr. Fate helmet but want it to look more like this than the other shown a couple of posts above.

In reality I want the finish to be more of a golden metallic than even this one.....
 
Hi, I made the DC Direct Dr Fate helmet back in 04. It was designed by Alex Ross and sculpted by me. Originally it was chrome plated but DCD decided to change it for some reason to paint. I am affraid that DCD may never produce this helmet since they have had it for 4 years now. The picture that was posted above is from the auction I just put up of the first protoype that I made of the helmet, It is signed by Alex. Here is a pic of the chromed prorotype.

Perfect!!! That chromed version is the kind I would want. Its a shame that DCD is too shortsighted to produce such a great collectible. Excellent sculpting details Larry!
 
Chromed or not....That thing is a beauty! And I´m not even a fan of the charachter. A big fan of Alex Ross, however...

There you go the helmet was made by Spider-Ham. The Ebay Helmat looks to be the same helmet. The helmet I made doesn't have the strip down the nose or the cheeck detail. But it was made years ago. I have live here in this house 5 years now and I know I made it at my old house long before I moved. Also Leman and I used the comic book then. Alex Ross did design the Ironman helmet that Edward of Fyberdyne made but not our fate helmet. I talked with Leman and he said he might have 2 helmet left.

Thanks Everyone for the positive comments! It was great to make this helmet :) and very disappointing that they never produced it :(. Some day soon I will be making a chrome copy for my private collection.
 
That is a shame. I've seen that prototype picture floating around for years and kept waiting for it to be available to the public. That is a thing of a beauty. Great work. I'm still hoping it comes out as well because I want one.
