my Hook just arrived its a Beauty. It looks really good much better than on the pics here on the thread. :thumbsup :love

I don`t have problems with small or minimal deffects/damage but these deffects on my Hook are easy to see. :behave :cry

Of course it's not your fault Sarednab, I think the deffect on picture 1,3,4 is a fault from the company/fabric, and the deffect on picture 2 with the dent from the shipping maybe from the company too.

Tap the base I think yes, I think it will be no a problem. But the dent will not be possible to remove.

But like said the Hook looks so Amazing cool that the dent no more plays a role, but still a shame.

I really hope mine has no defects because that hook looks to have alot of imperfections. If that hook is bent in and cant be bumped out i feel stoney should get a replacement?

If mine has dents in it i would hope i would get a replacement especially waiting for 2 years for this hook. I understand the hooks are hand made but if the factory knew these hooks were easily dented up they shouldn't have shoved 30 hooks in one box with no protection. Wherr the dent is on stonys hook looks to be from beimg placr in the box like that. the hook is beautiful dont get me wrong but if this is the very first hook with issues there most likelt be more.

I get what your saying but huge imperfections like that effects the overall appearance of the hook? $500 is alot of money to say oh well let me just deal with it?

Does anyone else agree with me or am i being overally anal?

You can't know how much I loose with this project... much more than 500$, maybe you have to add a "0"... to made possible this project.
Believe ma if I say that if there is some minor scratch will not go against his beauty. Wait to have it in your hands and after you can tell me what you think.
But believe me, a replacement will be impossible.

Also did the factory warn you about imperfections or did you get yours and realize they werent packaged safely so now we should expect imperfections?

Why the imperfection warning as soon as you received yours? Just trying to understand everything

I'm not in factory so I don't know why there are something like this. I just notice one on mine when I received it (some days ago), but wasn't bad to say that hook is not Fantastic, cause it IS FANTASTIC.

Imperfections are one thing serednab and DAMAGE is another.how much money you sacrificed is one thing and thats nobodys fault right? We get advertised this whole time a non imperfection prop now all of a sudden the tune has changed? I was not expecting this especially the lack of communication with the factory?

Ok, just wait to receive it. If you don't like I'll resell it for you and give you money back, but NO possibility to receive another hook.
You don't know how HARD is communication with factory (only 2 members in that board know what I'm talking about).
I never say that is your fault is I loose tons of money, I just saying this to explain you that I made this project ONLY for all you guys, not for the profit. But only cause you (like me) want a prop like this.
But if you don't want it, as I said, I'll sell it to you (it can be sell very fast, believe me) and will refund you completly.

A dent indeed is not a "small imperfection", I guess. I consider a "small inperfection" sometehing like part of the engraving not 100% symmetrical, Maybe a very small scuff on a not obvious place. But the "ball" part of the hook, where the actual hook screws into, is so iconic in the movie, that this part should be a perfect ball. Not a ball with a dent.

I would also not be too keen having a dent in my hook, to be honest. Indeed this is a prop in a rather high price-range, so I don't think a dent is really acceptable. I understand that these things have to be made in Pakistan to keep the price more or less reasonable, but I also have second thoughts with that... Do these people in Pakistan really "care" about quality as much as we do? Or do they see this as a great opportunity to earn some money with a larger number of items to produce? I received some other props from Pakistan from Sarednab (the Grail Knight Sword and the False Grail, maybe others) and these props were not damaged (smalls cratch on the blade of the Knight Swordt, but nothing major). So I really hope Stoney just has some really bad luck and the others will be OK.

I also made a remark about all these hooks put in one box without any protection... In a factory here in Belgium there is quality control, but I guess something like that is non-existant in Pakistan. Anyway, I hope my hook does not arrive dented and in good shape... If it arrives, I'll defenitely post some pics too .

Sarednab, just to be curious: what exactly were the imperfections on the Hook you got?

Folks wait until you get it you will love it, maybe I am the only one with a dent. Shi. happens.

And like said maybe it was the shipping.
