So who watched the season premiere of Community last night? The opening sequence showed everyone in their bedrooms getting up for a new school year. Donald Glover was wearing a Spider-Man costume/pajamas. Nice little joke most people would have missed I am sure.

The end was pretty funny with Chang's Gollum scene. Funny show!!

Do you guys not read comics? Nick Fury was black in the Ultimates universe BEFORE Sam Jackson played him.

I heard, though, that the inspiration for the Ultimates version was Jackson nevertheless. I wouldn't know myself...

I do read comics & my statement was geared toward the ultimate Universe Fury.

Spiderman ha already been played by a black man - for those who don't know, Morgan Freeman was the one who wore the suit on The Electric Company.

Personally I can't wait for this black Spiderman - but I'd rather see Dave Chappeal as spidey.

Seriously come one now you're telling me there's such a shortage of actors that somewhat resemble Peter Parker and have the ability to play the character that's in the comics that this is as close as they could get ?

If they were to cast this kid as Spidey then i believe that it would kill the franchise. I mean W T F was this kid thinking?!? It would simply be horrible ( no matter how good the kid acted.) It would be like having DJ Qualls play Shaft or Blade!!!
