"...Then I saw this young woman, completely naked, trying to wrap two towels around her and not having much luck. She then started to whimper and knock on my door. Seeing that she wasn't getting anywhere, she lay down with the towels covering her."
So let me see if I (stupid me) understood it correctly. This guy see a naked woman trying to cover herself with some towels in the hallway and trying to get help. He does not open the door, maybe giving her a coat or a bathrobe or something. No, he lurks through the peephole silently and then he contacts the Daily Mail, for getting his two minute fame.
Or maybe I have misunderstood something, sorry as I said before I am stupid...:confused

I like her acting, I think she's cute, but why, WHY do people insist on getting so stupidly drunken wasted? It's completely irresponsible.

I just never saw the point in getting that drunk. Never saw the point in drinking alcohol either. I don't look down on people that drink, but I'll never understand the point of getting completely wasted, throwing up, getting a hang over, and then doing it all over again.

I can't speak for anybody else, but as I say, it was fun... when I was young enough to survive it. Ironically, the hangovers with the headaches and nausea were finally what put that sort of thing to an end for me.
I still drink, just not nearly the levels I used to.

Seriously though, it's a big part of British culture that never really translates 100% to the US. Obviously you guys like a drink too, but binge drinking is a little more prevalent and acceptable in the UK.

I'm part Scottish and a red head too, but never really got into the drinking thing. Also part German and Austrian

Just imagine this two situations:
A.)
The guy looking through the peephole and sees a naked girl trying to get help, while a man is leaving the scene by the elevator. The guy contacts the papers and so he can show it around on his boring workplace to his boring colleagues, that always mob him, so it was his one and only chance to get "famous". What a looser.
B.)
Someone took advantage of a girl in the hallway, she is trying to get help while the man who did it leaves the scene. The "peep"-guy just looking but don't help her - in the opposite, he also also abuses the situation - but by having a big moment at the newspaper.
Now we know of course that this is not what happened (B.), but HE DIDN'T KNOW THAT at the time. I hope I never have to depend on people like him.
The other thing is, if you drink - a lot - by the time you've got your last drink and you still on your feet, doesn't mean you'll be ok. You can leave a party still on your feet, and the next ... lets say, 30 min. you still getting more and more drunk, because the alcohol still going from your stomach into your bloodstream. I know, because I've been called by someone once who just left a party and was a "little tipsy". While I was driving like hell, I talked to the person and the second time and asked about where exactly he was. By the time I called the third time I heard that he was about to "go out" like the light and he almost couldn't talk. I was lucky to find the place where he was lying in the grass already. Luckily he was ok but I did watched him for several hours.
So... my point is...she drank probably a lot, and she shouldn't. But I wouldn't say it is my - or the guys - responsibility to judge her. But I certainly still don't understand what he did - or rather didn't. Not enough that he was just looking and not helping, but he take this to the newspaper? I would be in shame if I knew I was there and didn't help.
Is this really the way forward, if someone is in need, instead of helping just use the situation for getting our name in the newspaper or taking a picture and put it on Facebook and wait for the 314 reply: "that's cool" ... "awsome" ...
Oh, btw. I don't even know who Karen Gillian is and what movie or show she was in, I'm purely talking about the situation. I have teenager kids and if they would end up in her situation one day I would be very much appreciate if someone would help.

Because she's 23. Thank god she's Scottish and working for the BBC. Hence she probably won't get the sack for this. :lol
