I am fixin' to purchase this but was wondering if the episodes are edited or full - I remember seeing "The Eleventh Hour" on BBC-A and the cooking scene with young Amy was REALLY cut short.
Just wanted to make sure we are getting the full length episodes on this set...

The DVDs and BR discs have the full episodes on them. I stopped watching Who on American TV after seeing how badly they butchered it in series 4.

is there any particular reason it was edited so badly Risu? and more importantly, was Impossible Astronaut edited?

No idea about the most recent episodes. I caught some of 11th Hour and saw how much of the kitchen scene was removed, but other then that, Journey's End was the last episode I watched on TV. They do that because we cram more commercials into an hour of TV here than they do over there. It's the same reason reruns of MASH have about 2 minutes removed each.

I remember seeing previews for the 'new' doctor (Smith) and thought he was NOT going to work. Then I decided to check out the 11th hour online and I was TOTALLY sold on his portrayal.
When I rewatched the episode on BBC-A, I was really upset that the kitchen scene was cut down - it had a great, fun little pace to it that was butchered for the sake of commercials.

SyFy used to cut down Tennant's episodes too (for commercials). I would be expecting a scene to show a friend and (nothing) the scene would have been lifted :confused it sucked.
