Doctor Who related: hats off to Paul Salamoff

It made me feel a bit younger to know that a happy part of my past is still around. As much as people panned the 1996 film there were some fantastic and wonderful parts too like that console, the rebirth of the sonic screwdriver and Paul McGann's perfromance as the Doctor.

I guess I'm one of the few who thought that Paul was a brilliant Doctor. I loved the Victorian Library feel of the TARDIS console room. The only thing it suffered was Eric Roberts as the Master. It wasn't his fault, though, heck he's an actor who takes jobs. I think the Master should have been a Brit, and as kiniving as cool as Delgatto and kiniving as Ansley.

For that matter, I'm not crazy about the Harold Saxon/Master (Simms) that we have now either. The Master is not goofy and spontanious, he's calculating and evil. Every step well planned out before executed...

Oh yea, McGanns console. I hate the guy who has it, inless he would let me come over and play, in that case he would be my best friend!

You're not the only one. McGann's incarnation is my favorite too as is his outfit and so is that console room. I warned my wife that when I hit the lottery we're buying a monster plot of land somewhere nice, she's designing the house and I'm doing the barn-like structure out back which will be a replica of McGann's console room for the first and second floors and the bridge of the TMP Enterprise in the basement as a home theater.
