I made this several years ago and it's getting a lot of views all of a sudden because Man at Arm's channel "AWE me" posted a similar tutorial.

I watched this a few times to figure out how I was going to finish my 3D printed model. The build is great, but I found that the Autumn Gold was too coppery for the actual pistol,

The brass seems like closer to the pistol:

Here are both pistols after the same weathering compared to the QMX: (ok, a bit more brown on the movie version)

I later weathered my TV pistol much more black as seen here:

I'm very impressed by all these paint jobs, really GREAT work!!! To be totally honest even though the brass mix is screen accurate, I like a more dark gray and/or gun metal gray and hopefully I can do a good job with this color choice.
