Looks to me like that long line is, "(string of numbers) - UNIT 3 - BLOOD GROUP - B-"

Posted this in the other thread, but I'll say it here, too:

Regarding the ID, the "MNU" font looks pretty close to Helvetica, and the "MULTI-NATIONAL UNITED" looks like Century Gothic. That's about what I'm sticking with. I had to tweak "MNU" to get closer to the movie version, and I had to increase the spacing in "Multi-National United" to get that to match better. The good news is, it's easy to get close.

The barcode looks like PDF 417, which is a standard (and public, I think) 2-D barcode symbology. You can find generators on the web, or you can just do a Google Image Search and 'borrow' one.

Eventually, I'd like someone here on the board to print a run on some smartcard blanks, hint, hint. :rolleyes

I made the graphic seen on the back of the bulletproof vests.

I'm a little unsure if it should say "Johannesburg Branch" or "Bureau" or something else entirely. If anyone can make it out, I can easily change it. :)

I'll relook at those scenes that show the text on the 1080p trailer tomorrow. I tried both of those font styles. The Adobe versions are close but neither of them are correct.

If anyone rewatches the movie, maybe there is a scene where you can really see that text. It would be nice if someone could figure out the cardsize and the correct Lanyard plastic clips. So far I've found no matches.

Like I said, "close."

As far as ID card sizes go, I think they're usually about the same size as a credit card. 5.4 x 8.6 cm.

I haven't gone looking for the lanyard yet.

Anyone have the selection of humans only signs? I found them in one of the first links earlier, but now they seem to lead somewhere else.

anyone have the security forces log from the side of the trucks? With the gazell head ?

Here's a couple, from the helicopter, a wall poster and the trucks. Also shows it's Johannesburg Bureau (not Branch). Maye someone can knock out some nice clean ones?

Nice grabs, Rik :)

Itsalive, unfortunately, no. Unless we knew the exact size of something in that image, we can only guess. I'm assuming it's about that size because most IDs and plastic cards seem to be. It may be because of some international standard (ISO). We can work backwards from our guess about the card size and compare it to other objects in the image. I'll do that and post the results here.

Regarding lanyards and blue plastic clips: I stayed up later than I should have last night and went looking online. No perfect matches. I found some similar clips, but without a good photo for comparison, it's tricky. There are next to no clips on eBay (or so it seems). Someone may have to break down and buy some stuff for comparisons. Oddly enough, I just blew $20 on a bullet-proof vest I was hoping would be close enough. Now I gotta get the more expensive one. Oy. I was considering going as Commissioner Gordon this Halloween and I figured I'd spend over $40 on a uniform shirt and pants alone. Thought about a vest for that costume, too.

All I want is the truth.

Apparently, I can't even find the truth, much less handle it. :lol

Well no new image update post from me tonight but I did rework the barcode a bit to be more accurate. I'm still tweaking things. Looking at the text on the other computer gave me no new answers. So I will go with the blood type suggestion. I found a plastic id card clip on youtube of all places, it looked like the right type but it was the wrong color, and the link to the site linked in the video didn't lead to an area that sold that same clip.

Itsalive, I just made a crude comparison in Illustrator between my assumed size of the ID and the size of the paper on Wikus' clipboard. Assuming the ID is about 5.4 x 8.6 cm, the eviction notice is pretty close to 8.5 x 11 in. I'm pretty happy with my guess. I was looking at some plastic card site, and they listed two apparent standards: ISO CR 50 and ISO CR 80, which are 3.5 x 1.73 in and 3.375 x 2.125 in, respectively.

As an aside, if anyone wants embroidered cloth patches for Halloween, please send an email to Patchgeeks:

http://www.scifigeeks.com/

I'm cautiously optimistic that they'll have some ready for 'us' in a timely fashion, before Halloween. But you have to let them know you want 'em. Otherwise, we're on our own.

Thanks, Rik. I'll get that fixed and updated this evening.

Very cool impala emblem, Itsalive!
