i missed out on the weta arc gun sale , plus i would have to repaint it to make screen accurate. so a friend is making one for me.

test paint and cast of the first hand out of the mold. made from dragon skin fx pro with foam interior.

UNFFFF Dragon skin is so boss. This is great, my god am I jealous!! Thanks os much for the progress update, I can't wait to see when it comes all together!

My friend made like a ghetto-level Wikus for Halloween last year, (generic alien-arm glove, suit, etc.) it was great and all, but I linked him to this thread and the dude was incredibly jealous as well!

How hot does it get? Does the foam breath at all or will it get all sweaty? X)

thanks for the comments.

the foam does not breath at all. kinda like wear a rubber glove. the silicone is a bit heavy. so when the whole arm is finished it weigh 5-8 pounds.

hit the sculpt with some spray paint before i started working of the mold. now it looks a little more prawnish.......

super cool, what are you molding there in the back ground? looks kind odstish?

here is the first raw pulls from the molds except the hand. this casting is a little thin in spots but the next one will not. be back with the parts painted later.
