District 9 Eviction Agent

I have pretty much finished my Eviction Agent suit!
So this all stemmed from that awesome Arc Gun. I saw the movie, loved it and then found the papercraft version. Almost done with the paper, the real AG came out and I got that. I eventually determined I wanted to make the 'eviction agent' costume.

Notes on construction:
I made the MNU issued bullet proof vest from scratch. After long nights of trying to find one that matched proved fruitless, I made my own pattern and sewed it up. It's black canvas with 1.5 inch width velcro and internal is supported by craft foamies. I based the pattern on the many many vests I saw at stores and my vest could actually hold plates if I wanted.

MNU patch is from a store online, pens and calculator are wrong for Wilkus, but y'know other agents probably had different stuff. (If anyone knows the exact calculator used in the movie drop me a line!!!)

Bought a similar blue folder clipboard on Amazon. In the photo the flash makes it look twice as bright as it really is. Managed to get an excellent ID badge from an online friend, and made the brochure myself.

What's left:
I intend to wear some semi-casual work clothes underneath with a blue jacket I have that looks similar to the MNU one. If I can find the right lanyard I'll use it but in the meantime this one on hand had to do. I still have to make a portrait of myself for the ID card so that it's me smiling there not Wilkus =)

The calculator Wikus wears is a Sharp Elsi-Mate EL-231L. As far as I can tell.

It's out of production, and may only have been available overseas. I turned the damn internet upside-down looking for one last year. I ended up going with a similar-looking model.

Brody - Thanks for the info I shoulda asked you sooner! You're right that IS a super hard to find calculator. Looks like I've got my 'holy grail' as far as this costume is concerned...

WarMachine - visit District 9 Alien Rifle 1:1 The model isn't ULTRA accurate but its very nice. I made about 75% of it before the AG was announced and I plan to finish it later.

Where'd you get the graphic for the leaflet? Any chance of a copy please?
