Disney's Beast Costume

My wife and I are planning on dressing like Beauty and the Beast for Halloween. However, I am somewhat of a perfectionist when it comes to making/building. All of the beast costumes that I have found online are a joke to be honest and I want to make as accurate of a representation as possible. Anyone have any suggestions or jumping off points?

Maybe take a look at what the park walking characters look like?..
type in "beauty beast disneyland" check google images.

Those don't really look accurate as well actually. I'd say look around in furry communities when it comes to the legs. There are several ways to create his legs. The body could be a harness with foam and carved into shape, and then lined with faux fur..

If you're not looking for a fur mask, the only other option for it to read "Beast" would be a prosthetic.

Something like this:

My recommendation would be to go more for the Broadway versions than trying to mimic the animated version. Two reasons: 1) you can already see a 'real world' interpretation of the costumes based on actual human proportions and 2) they are designed for wearability under hot, close and frantic conditions (much like H'ween party hopping).
