Disney + | She-Hulk

Been hearing about the Doomcock analog in the show. i find it funny that people say, “The pop culture war doesn’t exist” and then this happens. XD

No idea who this "doomcock" character is and happy in my ignorance if Intelligencia is modeled on him.
Well, they’re not completely based on him (because of the fact the things they did aren’t the things that Doomcock would ever do to anyone). He actually does a good job explaining the differences between him and the Intelligencia. Considering all the reporting he’s done on Disney works, he’s gotten under their skin. Now you can be happy without being ignorant (because sometimes, it’s not blissful as it‘s claimed to be). :)

NAILED IT!

The buzz is really crazy for anyone paying attention. It s nice to see wokeism get the backhand it so rightly has earned.

Someone's nerves at Disney, or atleast the She-Hulk has been struck.

Thanks for the spoilers!

I have yet to see the episode, but if She-Hulk had been written by someone familiar with She-Hulk, and someone flashed a sex video of her, she would have laughed it off. If they didn't show the whole video, she'd be like, "wha-wha-wha-WHAT? That's it? You left out the BEST PART!"

So much for being a confident attorney who can think on her feet.

But that is what "woke" does, takes something ready-baked good and turns it into an agenda that degrades the material.

This reminds me of being in a room filled with Asians, but two college girls can't stop talking about how great Rose Tyco is. So, the crowd finally watches her in TLJ and realize how terrible a character she is, a dumb, gullible, stereotype, and the two girls claim they welcome criticism, but can't tolerate any, no matter how well articulated.
Recently, I was at a lecture and someone talked about "Latinx", so a hispanic person raises their hand and states how less than 20% of the latin community approves. The speaker, who was not hispanic, gave the hispanic person a as polite an "F-U" look as they could generate and went on. The rest of the lecture was babble for the crowd, lowest marks anyone could give the lecturer. People got up and left.

Thumbs up to Doomcock, though I feel like that skull reminds me of the genie, Mecka-lecka-hi, from PeeWee,s Playhouse, with a little bit of The Bowler from Mystery Men

I've been reading this site regularly for years before I posted and for many years before I even became a member. There have always been difficult and disagreeing members (and there likely always be). Whether it be 10 years ago or today, if you let others get under your skin they will and if you give them an audience by responding to their posts/complaining about them you'll just encourage them. Perhaps not letting a few ruin your experience and deciding to not let others control your fun might be a good option. Just a suggestion.

I'm enjoying the show for exactly what it is, & what they advertised. Small little 'Bigger World' drops, like Matt mentioning that the Sokovia Accords had been repealed, are great but just gravy to the overall vibe of the show.

Now as for the incessant... I don't even know what to call it... maybe... Baiting, that seems to pop up EVERYWHERE now a days, it finally hit me as to what it's like-

The posts are like flaming bags of dog poop that get thrown onto our discussion 'porches'. They post to 'ring the doorbell' & get our attention, we 'open the door' to reply & stomp it out. These 12-year-old mental GIANTS are standing across the street, hiding behind their keyboard 'shrubbery', laughing & high five-ing their intelligence stunted counterparts cause 'They GOT Us' & the repliers are just standing there with poop on their shoes.

Truth is, we're conditioned to react urgently to flame, much like most decent people, are conditioned to discuss & exchange ideas, so we almost have a knee-jerk reaction to engage. Much like stomping out the fiery bag, we think we're doing a good thing in continuing the discussion with maybe a different opinion, but we're NOT. Discussion & idea exchange are NEVER the intention of the ones that 'rang the doorbell' & posted. It's to boost their ego by imagining how clever they are because they tricked you to step in dog crap by disguising it.

My mentality is this- paper bags usually burn out in a few seconds & almost never cause any real damage. The ideas/postings of the self-important cause even less if ignored, so I encourage all members to keep their sneakers clean & disappoint the adolescents hiding in the shrubbery. They'll eventually move on to the next neighborhood.

Have a FANTASTIC day my RPF brothers & sisters!

You’re not wrong, sir

Great Daredevil episode. Charlie Cox is so comfortable in his skin. The finese hero vs She-Hulk chanelling Daniel MrBride. I was waiting for her to end hersentences with "b#$@es!" Dareddvil's focused, stealthy, precise attacks vs aoe (area of effect) property damage.

Once again, not an episode to *think* about. The guy who makes superhero clothes gets kidnapped by a guy who didnt read the instruction manual. If the designer can make a frog suit with jets...um, he should be able to make *HIMSELF* something pretty snazzy.

Kinda sad that She-Hulk needs the revelation that she is prepresenting spoiled, rich kids or high-profile cases, and her values are getting trampled, instead of just starting off with some intergity.

She has become the organ-grinder's monkey.

She loses a liability case and still is on the ballot for winning a trophy?!?!?

Also, the idea that the person she is representing "signed a waiver " is just so a$$-backwards, mind-numbingly dumb. But she set a precedent and just caves again. It looks like her boss is ready to drop her now, anyways.

Was her boss in on it to begin with? Push her til she snaps?

Someone tell the writers to put down their mimosas and bounce their ideas off someone past a four-year old mindset.

And what is up with all the women attorneys getting a participation trophy? Pretty degrading. If you dont want to pick favorites, then dont even make it thing.

She didnt even pull the guy's mask off?!?

I don't think that the trophy was for a perfect record, but almost certainly for having a very good win/loss record. And even if it was for a perfect win record, that Leap Frog case would have almost certainly taken place well after Jen was chosen for the award. Changing their minds at the last minute and deciding to not give her the award after losing what appears to be her most recent case would be like changing the winner of the Best Picture Oscar because a much better movie came out after the voting was already done.

I don't think that the fact that Leap Frog signed a waiver was dumb at all, it makes sense that he would have signed a waiver and ignored it. It's totally within his character, he's a spoiled rich kid who likes to play superhero. He probably also either forgot about the waiver or deliberately not mentioned it to Jen hoping (stupidly) that it wouldn't be brought up during the trial.

As for the reason why Jen's boss insisted on having her represent him, she's not only in charge of the superhero dept. in the firm, she's also the top lawyer in the dept. and LF's dad is one of the firm's top clients. So naturally, the firm is going to represent LF, but the senior partner is also going to assign his best lawyer that specializes in superhero cases in order to please LF's dad. That's always been a part of the show, Jen does what she has to do because it's a matter of either listening to her boss or go find another job. Given how much trouble she had finding a job before this one came up, she's not going to give this one up too easily. And taking on cases that she'd rather not take on has been a part of her job from day one starting with representing Abomination during his parole hearing.

Leapfrog signing a waiver does absolutely nothing for Jen's conflict of interets. Leapfrog is suing someone, Jen has a relationship with that same person, Leapfrog's waiver has zero relevance to Jen's interest -- Leapfrog is suing the guy! Jen is helping him. If Leapfrog had not kidnapped the designer, and Jen helped rescue him, Jen would have have been outta luck for the gala outfit.

Jen's taking the case shows she has no control of the of the superhero dept.. She may be the high-profile representative, but she does what she is told. A competent attorney with a backbone would have refused the case to begin with.

The first domino of her taking the Abomibation case was bad to begin with, subsequent dominos are from a bad precedent.

The award went to several women, so pulling her trophy is something she NEVER would have known. If a nomination assures a win, then it is just for show, and the women are being paraded around for attention; nothing to do with competence

I would be up for the trophy winners to all quit, start their own firm and have long happy, successful careers.

What's their (ex) boss gonna do? Say he gave then trophies then claim they weren't exemplary?
