My TOS Enterprise is waiting patiently for its younger brother to join it on display.

Slightly regretting not dusting the cupboard before taking those photos...

I keep watching the Danoby2 Youtube interview with Chris and the amazing close-up shops of the E in the video. I also notice quite a few paint app differences on the model featured at the show compared to what's seen on the model in TOMY's release video. Particularly the exterior of the bridge dome which looks VERY gold on the TOMY video, but not so in the Danoby2 interview video. I'm really excited about this but one thing which has been bugging me about all new toys / props made within the last decade is that they all use the very blue tinted LED's. I personally think this would look even better with a more yellow tinted light (particularly the spotlights on the stand) so it mimics how the filming miniature actually looked when lit / externally illuminated. What are other people's thoughts on this. It was the same with the MR Millennium Falcon. Those BLUE front headlights and cockpit lights just ruined the appearance of it matching the filming miniature in my opinion. I'm glad TOMY used the more yellow tinted LED's on the TOS. That looks GREAT in your photos Revelation Space!

Danoby’s video is so much better than TOMY’s lol which really underscores TOMY’s poor PR when it comes to their products.

Danoby captures more of the things MP fans want to see, like the warp speed launch sequence and the light up start up sequence. Both really cool effects! He also better captures the painting and Aztecing much better too.

As for the lighting, it doesn’t bother me either way. It looks cool in Danoby’s video so I’m pretty much happy.

This is a prototype and really curious to see what changes will take place as production begins.

My one big hope…that TOMY provides better updates as the year goes a long. I think with TOS they provided two updates out of the year, before shipping. And of course the infamous “not as expected” email that sent us buyers into frenzy…lol

It's hard to say how blue the lights are. I suspect they look so blue in Danoby2's video because they're in a convention centre which probably had overly warm lights which his camera has compensated for, making the Enterprise lights seem far more blue than they really are.

In the original Tomy video they look neutral in some shots and slightly warm in some shots — and they did a great job with the colour temperature on the TOS Enterprise — so I don't expect tha it'll be a problem.

They do say in that Danoby2 video that they're still working on the paint scheme.

I LOVE the pearlescent paintjob on this, but I equally love what ILM did on the repaint for Wrath of Khan. I wonder if TOMY will offer a variation of the 1701-A without the "A" markings (assuming they'll do it), so Wrath of Khan fans could add a beautiful model of the ship as she appears in their favourite movie.

I don’t know if you’ve seen this video but if you don’t want to watch the whole thing skip to 13:12…there is hope for your wish…:)…but watch the whole thing if u can there are some great shots and great shots of the lighting effects.
