Die Cast Lighted 1/350th TOS Enterprise (TOMY crowd funded)

He said in the video we have a number of things lined up.

Getting to the goal 6 hrs in should help.

Hey long time lurker (10+yrs). Hi I'm Robert. Just here to share the joy in the motion pic Enterprise. I'm ordered woot.

Hey I don't Facebook, since it's early in production, can somebody let them know , the bridge blinks and bottom secondary hull blinks on the prototype are supposed to be navigational strobes. Not blinkys. It follows the real world aircraft conventions, not unlike the self illumination. Can we get 2 legit strobes? That puts it over the top for me ladies and gentlemen.

Thanks. Much appreciated everyone :) this is gonna be a long wait lol. Cheers.

R.

For their price they should not need those clear supports. I would be curious if they will have those on the finished product.

If I had the money I would still rather hire one of our people. Cheaper and likely better.
I took a look and it looks to me that those supports are to keep it level on the stand only. Good luck to you all!

I’m guessing since the refit is doing so well there will be a lot more of them out there than the tos version. I’m guessing the secondary market won’t be as high as the tos. I’m really hoping they do the enterprise E at some point, I always liked it much more than the D, the D just looks off to me.

I'd have to look it up but TOS or Refit era baddie ships (Klingon cruiser would be obvious first choice) are, in scale, perhaps only half the size of the corresponding enterprise, so in theory could be produced much more cheaply, perhaps allowing them to be profitable at half the backer count, so I guess that's a pastability.

easier said than done, the scale is all over the place based on the show/movie. the TOS Klingon D7 is 2/3rds the size of enterprise, the ST:TMP K'T'Inga was designed to be roughly half the length of enterprise (enterprise-a is 305m), however...

The K'tinga-class Klingon battle cruiser is 155 meters (509 ft) long, according to the designers' intentions for its appearances on screen [1, ]. However, an on-screen panel in Enterprise states that the ship is only 75 meters (246 ft) long

The Klingon BoP from ST3 and ST4 is all over the place from scene to scene, sometimes appearing to be 60m, other times 100m, so 1/3d the size of enterprise-a all the way down to 1/5th.

I'd be fine with 1/4rd the size but only if it comes as a 3-pack. BoP's are the stormtroopers of Star Trek, you can't have just one.

may be too soon to call. 2515 1701's were ordered, and we haven't hit that yet, and don't necessarily know what the final number will land, though blowing through the target in 6 hours is sure a good sign.'

also the market has historically bourne significantly larger sums for Refits, I think partially because there's so many MORE collectors after it (I think a lot of collectors age out after 50, meaning way higher numerical demand for the movie ship that gen x and elder millenials grew up with, as opposed to that ol' boomer garbage scow the 1701.)
