It just loaded for me now for the first time in about two hours.

As for the dimensions of the box, it was about 2 inches bigger on each axis than the model itself. There are exact dimensions on one of the pages of this thread somewhere.

Just goes to show you how popular the Refit is compared to the original Enterprise.
To be fair there were a ton of people who were TOTALLY UNAWARE of the TOS campaign. Been reading the FB TOMY+ Trek page and many people complained they didn’t even know about it, cause if they did they would have bought one. Shame, but just poor marketing on TOMY’s part.

That's true, anecdotally I've seen lots of people on Reddit and such say they were unaware of the original campaign at the time, and only learned of it once the backing period ended. I only noticed this one was happening after I spotted a random post on an obscure subreddit, I haven't stumbled across it on any big sites, but I haven't gone looking either.

I've been saying to my long-suffering brother for years that it sucks how there are plenty of Trek ships available for the <$200 range, and they pop up every few years for the >$5000 range, but there has never been anything in the $500-2000 range, and I don't understand why because you'd think that would be the sweet spot for affordability versus mass-production profitable quality. So it's kind of gratifying to see how quickly this model is selling now, and I'm not surprised, people like me have been wanting something like this for decades.

(Also, yeah, there's absolutely no doubt in my mind that the Refit is more popular than the TOS Enterprise, at least among the kind of people who are willing to spend serious money on a model. I'd be amazed if it was even close, to be honest. I realise that in the general public conscience the original ship is more recognisable and a cultural icon.)

Anyone see a way to monitors numbers?

I only saw it when I ordered mine.
They're on the Tomy website. Currently raised close to a million dollars from over 1000 backers.
