TOMY reported on their FB page that they’re working on this area.To Tomy's credit, it looks like they're fixing a few of the worst inaccuracies from the Polar Lights Refit kit, like the shape of the impulse exhaust and magnatomic flux grills. ON EDIT: But the area where the nacelle pylons meet the secondary hull looks pretty wonky.
Very true…maybe the Fanhome kit size? The D would have to be a much smaller scale... ...
Obviously you meant:Still wish they'd do a whole line in smaller scale (half as big) with this USB power to fill cabinets that I could light up with a simple word.
If you’ve registered you should get their email updates like the last time. FB is just a way to participate in the Q&A with TOMY and get additional information and pictures that may not be in the email updates.Hi, I bought 2 of the original Enterprises, and I did not have to join Facebook. I am very happy that you have decided to go ahead with the refit, I intend to buy at least one. Is there a way to get the Facebook information with out joining Facebook? I just want to be kept up to date, I don't need to add comments.
Thanks for doing this, and take care.
Because the scale of the D presents such an obvious problem, I think a solution they should consider would be not to match the scale of the first two releases, but to instead match the size of them. Aim for roughly 32 inches long. Then there's still some form of cohesion in their appearances next to each other, even if they're not in scale. It would still be a bit wide but that's certainly more manageable than 6 feet long at 1/350 hahaThe D would have to be a much smaller scale... ...

Me too. I want a nice ambient glow. No details necessary this time.No bridge details this time. Which I'm kinda happy about. It was cool on the TOS-E but I would rather have a lit frosted dome on this one....
Maybe. A lot of good memories on this thread. The announcement, the anticipation, the controversy, and finally triumph with delivery! All to be repeated with the REFIT! lol. Drama queens us collectors! lol Gotta love it!RPF Staff
With the TOMY Motion Picture Enterprise thread in “Collections”, does it make sense to close this TOS discussion? We’re starting to get double posts and have to go to both sections to see all the comments on the subject.
Just an idea.
Thanks

look. nobody tell my partner about this, okay? it was already a stretch to find the space for my first tomy 1701. this is going to be our little secret until it arrives. and then what?

If they instead just picked a totally arbitrary size that would create an itch in my brain
