Thank you! I still need to color match the wide belt with some stain/leather paint, and then weather/paint Chopper’s bag. I regret cropping the vest a little bit, but overall it fits better with belts and pouches than the long version did.

Weather permitting I’ll most likely wear this to the lightsaber meet-up here at East on May 4th.

I really appreciate the feedback, it’s very easy to lose myself to self doubt when I’m just working on this off the top of my head.

Background mechanic/tech/engineer is pretty much what I’m going for.

Once again adding to the echo chamber that is me posting costumes lol.

I’ve cropped down the vest I posted initially, and here it is paired with my mechanics jumpsuit, a pilots hat/goggles, and the utility belts I’ve put together. Bonus back shot of Chopper in his little mesh sling.

That is awesome! A lot of time and effort invested in that! I love the worn, weathered aspects!

Gee2 , if you have trouble getting a reservation at Oga’s, mousewatcher worked for us. You sign up (it’s $14 for 60 days, not sure if they prorate) and they send you a text immediately if someone cancels. The text has a link into the reservation system and you have to respond very quickly (otherwise someone else might get it) but it kept me from checking the app 30 times a day. Oga’s is a lot of fun, we really enjoyed it.

I appreciate the kind words! I like to take a sort of “anti-main character” approach to stuff like this. You see Jedi and smugglers all day long, but someone has to be maintaining all this stuff!

Unseen in the photos but I’ll be doing some kind of leg wrap or putee with my Blundstone Chelsea boots. I just don’t want to deal with real calf high boots, and they greatly inflate the low-ish budget I try to stay within.

I do feel like I need a contrast/pop of color as it’s very green and brown currently. I may add a dingy Orange neckerchief or neck gaiter for something different. I’m also planning to build/print some belt hanger tools and greeblies but I don’t want to get stuck at security for too long so we’ll see.

Next project is to concoct something for my wife who shockingly agreed to dress up for the occasion.

I was interrogated by the stormtroopers and Kylo twice!! in 3 hours when walking by the stage. The second time my wife said “I’m out of here!” and walked quickly away while I am thinking this is the greatest thing ever!

We did, and myself and my buddy from the other couple that's going have also been checking daily on the Cantina reservations. We've got just under 4 weeks and it feels like it's going to come down to a mad dash when we get there and some "Solo Luck".
