Did I buy the wrong Fett helmet?

I bought a Jango Fett helmet off amazon in order to mod it. When I got it it had no inside (it's just a bucket), like the optimus prime helmet I have. Is that normal? I'm looking into getting my own liner so it's not a total let down, but I was just wondering if there was a nicer helmet out there to start with.

none of the fett helmets have "insides",,,,if your go on the dented helmet forum you will find people who have made kits that go inside the fett helmet, you can also make your own from a Hard hat construction helmet liner.

Yea, I'm pretty sure you bought a Rubies? That was my motivation for finding a better Jango helmet too..

It all depends on what your looking to spend on it. The CHEAPEST route would to get a Mystery helmet from SGT. Fang, and mod it into a Jango, but that won't be AS accurate as say a BKBT (who's molds were taken over by Cruzer on TDH) Now, if you want to go uber accurate, try to get a Screen-cast. Fettpride I believe offers these from time to time, but I've been out of the loop for awhile. Also, Asok on TDH offers a screen-cast kit for a very good price. It all depends on how much your willing to spend though in the long run.

I've got a different lid and that is a great idea. Better than my skate board helmet padding idea:thumbsup

A guy named Asok here, on the Dented Helmet, and over on the R2D2 board has a great Jango Fett Helmet for a reasonable price.

Thanks guys. Wow, didn't think he was being literal about that dented helmet forum.
Got a link for that r2d2 board?

the cheapest route is actually the 2 piece jango helmet for 30 bucks... its far more rounder on the dome than the old rubies vinyl helmet, and can look fantastic when finished.

ASOK helmet all the way!! It is the most reasonably priced, screen accurate, and it cold cast. A little bit of prep work, sanding, and polishing, and they turn out amazing!! :thumbsup
