Diamond Select toy Star Trek III phaser coming

DST posted a new photo of an unpainted test shot on their Facebook page a few days ago.

Notably the "Final Mission" style midplate is no longer present, nor are the screw plugs seen in the Toy Fair prototype.

They claim the release date is intended to be "this Spring" and more specifically by April, but they also say "we shall see." :rolleyes

I realize it's just a tester, but the details on the phaser seem a little...soft.
Still, can't wait for this release!

very nice start, on their fb page they state they put up a video, does anybody have a link to it?

I think that comment was about the Enterprise A electronic ship having a video just posted, not the phaser

No screw holes is a nice touch but bad if you want to get to the innards for modding, sonic welded perhaps. I wonder if they're doing that on purpose so people wont mess with their product. Haven't placed an order for this yet but will soon, i'll get a couple. I wish they would re-release the ST:TMP Phaser again. Missed out on that and can't seem to track one down and at reasonable price.:rolleyes

I ordered and paid two of them back in September, or correctly, my wife did for my birthday...as usual DS absolutely SUCKS on their release dates, and always has..Good product mostly, but forever to get off their butts and get it out..First the realease date was September, then, December, now March..So when they get here, they get here...

Looks like al sites are aying this ships in March, even the ones that are accepting pre-orders.
First they said Octoner, then December of last year, and now this. So it'll most-likely be April, I hope.

Here are new photos from NY Toy Fair 2015. There seem to be now two different versions of the ST III Phaser.

The blue topped P1 with the charge port on the side of the P2 looks to be based on the ILM Prototype while the other looks to be based off the filmed version. You can see the ILM version in The Art of Star Trek, the FASA ST3 Supplement and others while you can see the version with all the LED's on the P1 control area in the movie and reused in a few TV shows.

Then again, I'm guessing you guys all knew that already. ;)

Then I assume that the ILM Proto will be an Entertainmentearth.com exclusive like the others they had. I was going to only get two of the standard ones but now I will have to get that one too. Is it just me or is the color of the body a dark sliver but the images I see from the movie are sort of a mars black/silver. Looks like I have some customizing ahead of me.

And now it's slated release is June :cry as I stated in a previous post............. :facepalm

New Force Comics has them back in stock. Cheapest you'll find them.:)
Just picked up 2 of them along with 2 TWOK openers.
