So this is kind of old but i wanted to post up a thread showing the progress of the Malthael costume i built last year. I still have so much more i want to do to it.. and will get there in time. haha
Here is the concept art that i fell in love with when i first started i really enjoy seeing how large he is.

This is a model made by Chris Laboy. He so graciously let me use this for reference.
So the idea was to have it appear as though i am floating so i needed to be on wheels and in order to be able to move up and down. Me and Robby Royster wound up finding a old electric wheel chair at a salvage place locally and ripped it apart to the bones. and began designing the base to operate on a Ball screw.

Below is the base pretty much done just some tweaking and some paint still needed but all in all it is operational

So i started on the armor i referenced the model Chris Laboy sent me and used it to 3d print parts and mold some of the parts for rigidity. Fabian Els also modeled some of the pieces for me as well

I had a issue with figuring out how exactly i would be operating the movement so i wound up 3d scanning the pendant of the wheelchair and sinking it into the model of the sickle.

Standing on the frame with it all the way down im 8' tall and when i bring it as high as it will go im 10' tall..
