Dexter's Kill Bag and Tools

overall length of the 8 inch spatula is 13.2 inches which makes me almost 100% positive it's the 8 inch not the 10.The 10 inch overall length is 15.2 which is way too big.I'm sure there will be enough room to cut the 8 inch blade with no problem and it's only $40 on amazon.

Measure that up also tom you'll see what I mean.

That makes sense. However, not having seen either in person makes me wonder... is there a difference between the 8 and the 10 in as far as where the name is etched into the blade. I can't image there is, but we do have pics that show the name. I guess at this point its more a matter of which has more blade to work with?

Like I said earlier, I'd be more than willing to shape the blade for whomever, once we decide on a shape.

Hmmmm. I think the $40 for the 8" is more appealing but, like Pinder said, is there enough blade to work with? If so, definitely go 8". The 10" has plenty of play to cut whatever length we want.
Are the handle lengths on both the 8" and 10" the same?

The picture i posted before with the spatula sitting flush in the pocket next to the bread knife is convincing me the handles are the same length.Compare the handle ends of the spatula and bread knife and look at where the blades starts in that picture, it looks Identical plus when we go to cut the blade it will be easier to determine the overall length because all we have to do is meet the very point to the very top of the spatula to get the exact length. As far as working room were basically just cutting down the sides of the spatula which is the same width of the bread knife.I'm sure if we can determine the actual length of the spatula IS 8 inches why do we need the 10 inches that would be a waste?.As far as the handle goes I really don't see the handle being bigger on the 10 inch compared to the 8 inch.To confirm the handle length all we have to do is get a measurement from a company that sells them then we will know for sure and save around $50 bucks if need be.We need the handle to be at LEAST 5 inches.

ok I called and got exact dimensions the 8 inch has the 8 inch blade with a 5 1/2 inch handle the 10 inch has a 10 inch blade with 5 1/2 inch handle also so we are good to go 8 inch IT IS :cool

I'll throw together a quick photoshop manip when I get home from work. Should give us a good idea, but I'm definitely leaning toward 8 inch.

The spatula pics were taken straight from Global's website. I scaled them to each other, since Pitbull said both handles were the same measurement. This is the result...

Looks like the 8 inch gives us plenty of length, but the blade is right on the hairy edge of not fitting width-wise, whereas the 10 in seems to have more room. Granted all of these pics are slighty skewed in their own ways.

I think the 8 incher is the winner!

Although, I also marked specific points and the logo is higher up on the 10 incher. I know we haven't really seen any good pics showing the logo, but that distance should prove once and for all which it really is/was.

Great work Pinder!!

I say, even if the logo matches the 10", the 8" is way cheaper. Might as well go with that if we could pull it off.
The mock up of the 10" cut looks like a lot of wasted space for $80.

I agree. And the engineer in me would probably go nuts looking at a logo that is half missing. Better to remove it altogether. ;) Then it wouldn't matter which spatula it was.

Well said man. I need more money on my card or I'd order the spatula now. Only 4 left!! TronChild is going to buy all 4 and then sell these for $230.

That reminds me. I have a case of Ice Truck Killer dolls that are more accurate than what they used on the show, but I have to sell them for $2,500 each because I had to spend $14 million on a time machine in order to get them. Order now before they're gone, or I'll continuously remind you that I have them (allegedly) and you don't.
