dexter watch

My watch is exactly the same looking as that StarKiller. The dials and hands are silver, but the face has a gold tint to it. Like you said, pics don't do it justice and it looks so different depending on how it's lit.

yea starkiller, your dials on the face are silver. same with the hands, no gold at all. you got the exact watch. can you look at my post #195 and tell me if thats the same band yours has?
 
DP mine will be here saturday or monday depending on how fast the mail is. Will post pics of it as soon as it arrives. need to find a band asap, which is why im trying to find out if the band on starkillers is the same in the link i left in post 195, because if they are the same bands i know where to get it cheap

Dark,

The "gold tint" on your dial is age, dirt or possibly smoker "nicotine" damage.
Sometimes they can be cleaned but its something that should only be done by someone who honestly knows what they are doing because more harm than good can come from it. The dial can be refinished new too if you can't live with the off color.

I am pretty sure it is just age. The one on the show has the same exact color to it. The gold Waltham I had had the same look to it also.

The auction just... Ended, due to the item "no longer being available". Sounds to me like someone whisked the seller around into doing an under the table deal... Completely unfair to other bidders.
 
Well, anyway, I figure it's about time to post a picture of my Waltham. She's a beauty. I found her on Bonanza, and I'm sure glad I did. There's actually the same watch currently selling on eBay in a lot of 3. Anyway, it's not the Dexter watch, but I can honestly say that I like the way it looks just as well, and I'd prefer to have a date window anyway. It fits my personal style well, too. Nevertheless, I'm still on the hunt for the actual thing. One of these days... :rolleyes (And the band, for everyone's information, is the exact same one Dexter wears. It was the only one that I was able to find.)

This is why I wanted it kept off the forums. If you offered $500 TylerDurden, imagine what the highest offer was. It's insane what Thibault did by not even realizing it. He will still come in this thread and *sigh* and act like we're the crazy ones.

it was only a matter of time before people started selling look a like watches, hell some people can't afford the real deal and will just go with something similiar, like i am with my boots until i can afford the diesels. I too am glad i got mine before they now have skyrocketed. that post exposing it literally ruined it for the hard core fans wanting and searching for the watch, now have to pay over $500???? soon enough your right DP they will be $1000. im lucky i got mine for $60 even though it was gold and putting $270 into it to have it be like brand new, the way it runs, looks, etc....anyone wanna buy it? $1000! lol
 
$50 says more and more watches are going to start turning up as "look a likes" on ebay. hell some on here have posted they have no choice but to find something close to it they like since either A. they cant afford the real deal now that everyone knows which it is, or B. they simply cant find one.
Hell before I scored my waltham I bought that timex with the red markers on the front page just to have somethin

I know man, if he read the damn thread he would of known that you were going to send out pms. Some people shouldn't be on here. But there's nothing you can do now is but be patient.
 
You all do know that with the direction this thread was going, the watch was going to be identified regardless. It's not like it's some uber secret that was smuggled out of Russia. It's a watch. I'm quite sure that if thibault didn't chime in, tymerdc would've undoubtedly found it.

This is The RPF, probably one of the greatest research sites on the net. The same place that identified an airplane engine part for a lightsaber. A volvo dash panel for HIC. So how bout backing off on thibault and enjoying each others company you crazy bastards. :lol
 
This is a old scarce watch you have to keep on the down low. I mean it's a Waltham, who has that? On top of that it's 25 j not many of them. I think I have more of a chance f. Ing Jessica alba than getting that watch for a good price!
 
i thought the same thing Tyler before i got mine, and even though i got it about a month ago and just now getting it back after having it replated, but like i said i got my eyes open for ya.
and why cant i see king davids watch? want to make sure i have the right band on the way which im 99% sure it is.
