Hey there ! I recently finished the Hung Jury scout rifle build from the video game Destiny. I painted it like the 3d model on the Destiny app as I wasn't keen on the giant Dead Orbit logos that is in the actual game. I made it out of pvc and some styrene, The mag is held on with magnets and can be easily removed. The "power cell" on top is also removable.
I started off with a printout of the 3d model side view scaled to what I needed.
I Then cut it up into patterns and cut the base out of 1/2" Sintra
I really put some blood, sweat, and tears into this project. Less tears and more blood actually
I just started building details and adding them to the base, while shaping the necessary bevels and such in by hand.
I cut the grip lines by hand with a razor saw
I made the stock piece using strips of styrene evenly spaced.
I also made the barrel part separately
I made the mag separate as well, using magnets to hold it in place.
All coming together, I made a Picatinny rail mount and built a small tactical scope like one of the in-game options
I used 99cent clear ornaments to make the clear domes, painted it satin white and flat black with some mild weathering.
And that's it !
I have more pics and such on my Facebook page, www.facebook.com/vectorsigmacreations
