Demagol Helmet question

So I decided to take a swing at making a demagol helmet with the pep file modeled by fierfek. the pep I finished is a bit to small so I am going to make a new one but in making the small one I noticed that the ridge above the visor was giving me quite a bit of trouble and caused the shape to be a bit missed up. I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion on a way to clean the ridge up for the second try, I do plan on doing a complete build so I could add the ridge with bondo or something I just need a way to fill in the space left if I pull out the ridges from the pep.

here is the small pep I did, you can see the gap above the visor that is my problem.

this is only my second attempt at pepakura so any advice would be appreciated since I am betting this will happen from time to time

no takers yet I guess. i have heard of people cutting a blank piece of card stock to fill in the gap but what is really required to achieve that while maintaining the shape?

Alright I will have to give that a try, I have then new ten percent larger pep printed out I am just waiting for finals to be over to start it hopefully it will be big enough. I think I might have to are a section of the back removable so that I can keep the scale closer to the original but that should not be to hard.

thanks for the help
