Delorean Time Machine 2015 by Coulombe Enterprises

Guys, Thanks for the great comments. I am glad ya'll like the hover iilusion.

Someone asked this question over on DMC Talk: quote....."Can you drive the D in Hover mode? Just wondering ........ ."end quote

No! the hover wheels are made with real 3/4 size tires that hang from the Delorean wheels by a black metal bracket. The real tires are covered with a black cloth hood. This is why we calling it an "Illusion". The hover wheels are to be used while the car is on display. Of coarse, up close you can see the Delorean tires covered with a black hood. But, when you place the Delorean on a black surface, under a little low lighting the effect is out standing. We're also making a dolly to fit under the Delorean so the car can be pulled in hover mode for parades.

The time of day the photos were taken is about 5 PM. If you look closely at the photos you can make out the hooded tires. The angles that the photos were taken help give it a better illusion. As someone else posted, this is only a "trick" but I think it is a great trick for displaying the Time Machine. Again, Thank you for appreciating our work!

if i made one i would do it so the car sits on a covered box at the desired height , then remove the real wheels and have some hover position rims that bolt onto the car with the stock wheel nuts

To the builder:

1) How much does 1 fully assembled hover adapter weigh (including the wheel, tire, and hardware)?

2) How many people does it take to install it for display?

3) Do the tire skirts come with it or are those additional?

For anyone who hasn't wadded through the slideshow pics, here's the breakdown of the design from the website:

Lastly, why are all of the pictures from high angles and mostly from the rear? There isn't a single side shot (at least not that I could find).

Thanks! Very neat!!

Answers to the above questions:
1 - about 20 pounds each
2 - one person with no problem
3 - included along with a black carpet runner.
lastly - High angle shots are to show proper effect. Photos were taken from all around the car. I just posted what photos I liked best. I didn't think that anyone would be that interested in the construction shots. I'll post a few to my Photo Bucket account and then post them here, first chance I get.
