Hi does anyone know of a way to model the entire Iron Man/War Machine armor together? In the like the host mentions a model and I'm hoping to get it so I can scale my armor to fit me.

What i do is i measure high and width and in the scale factor in pepakura i put what i measured, and for knowing if its a good scale i look at a big piece on the program and i take a paper in my hand and by watching the area that the pice covers in the 2d window i try to imagine it in the paper i have in my hand, so you know if it migh work or if its too big etc, hope you understood me

I spent the last hour or so reading every single post on this thread. I'm incredibly excited to start my own build for this Halloween. Stealth jay and all the other guys who's names I forget awesome job on everything and stealth and Jowe thanks tremendously for this thread. I feel very confident in my abilities espe illy given this huge wealth of information

My only question to you guys and the one thing I didn't see mentioned (granted in on my iPhone so I may have missed a page)

What's the total cost to do the full suit? I saw Ferrari post that his cost 1k+ I know he had all sorts of electronics voice mods etc but it's got me a little scared. I wouldn't mind spending a few hundred but I'm working on my masters and just don't have a ton of money to work with. Maybe I'm just out of my league but thought I would ask. Thanks a lot

Hi everyone, Andre from Singapore. Greetings to everyone. I am truely inspired with all your art works. Now I am determine to build my own suit. I have completely no knowledge with this and now I am going through the entire thread to start my learning from page 1. Hope I can crash these lessons through and come out with my built to showcase with you experts here. Cheers !

All of my materials cost me a total of $60, but that's not including lighting and mechanics, if you choose to go that route.

Iron Man foam, hot glue, and blades are pretty cheap; probably about $70. It's the paint that nickles you to death.

My guess is with my foam, joints, blades, hot glue (60 large sticks), paints, LED lights and buckles/straps that mine cost around $275....most of that being paints.

dont worry ,you can spend what do you need on your suit,for example ,i spend around 60$ in my suit ,but some many people spend very too money
all depending of the materials,the finish ,the electronics and the paint job what you need.

its very simple...more money ,more quality!

but you need know one thing about this , this is not easy work ,i spend too hours for adjust the templates, search for the perfect paint and primer ,and design and make an electronics (today is not complete finished)

Thats great , affordable :), i already spend more than 300$ and i just have a helmet and some electronics

My MK vi only took USD$120 with paint and led for lights, chest and repulser. I threw in a good rc battery pack for a CPU fan to cool down the suit

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm starting work this Sunday. Have three days a week free so pretty positive I can be done by Halloween. Tentatively making a project timeline.

This forum is a god send. I plan on doing led eyes chest repulsers and worry about the electronics last.

Anyways again the cost of the suit was the only information I couldn't find here so I'm sure there are others that appreciate it as much as I do.

Well here's to hard and probably tedious work ahead. Salut. :).

just finished the back and chest, two backpack buckles are going to be used at the shoulders and two under my arms. how are you guys fixing the abs in place?

What does the chest brace do?, where does it go, and is it needed?

Search button blah blah....

It sits on your shoulders and helps position the chest and back together correctly.
Is it needed?. No, but your suit will look better for using it.

Sometimes it quicker and polite to just give an answer.
