Definitive ANH Falcon Interior

Thought I'd add what I've discovered in the last few days with screen caps. Hope it helps.

CC,

This doesnt help at all! Now we have to redo everything! ;)

Where did you find that pic?
Didn't find the pic, spent the last couple of days drawing it. The catalyst was SteveStarkiller's posting a screen capture of the main parts being re-used in the Rebel hanger bay in ANH. That congealed the elements in my mind so I could see what was going on. So since I was, at the time, fitting the gun-wells into my falcon plan (with the measurements from the SW The Blueprints book), I decided to have another go at the guns themselves.

CC, to clarify, this is a drawing of the full size set prop 'guns' or of the filming model's guns?

It's been a while...

got that far wall put in, and a bunch of cargo and junk.

plus, thanks to the Force Awakens, I've figured out an elegant way to cap off those ring corridors.

That's pretty damn awesome.

But don't put it past them not to provide details of the port docking ring, the rear cargo hold and engine areas are just yet :)

Wow Steve!

You are one prolific modeler! Great work as always.
I just checked out your blog, Nice work on the T-70 X-wing too.
I also downloaded you older Cockpit file. Absolutely beautiful work!...you are too hard on yourself.
I hope you dont mind if I lift some of your buttons and switches , I am finally getting back to my 1/12 X-wing project.
I'm going to try and emulate the ep.IV ANH version of the full size set piece for the big X
Thank you so much for sharing, very generous of you.
I think I'll put up a 3D/CGI version of the X-wing Cockpit for downloads when its done.

I know you use Sketch-Up, what software are you using for your Camera-Matching and Photogrametry?
The Gun Turrets Look Great! I am amazed at what you were able to discern given that there is such little reference.
