BTW, I finally got past the "A Bullet for a Bad Man" mission for the main storyline. Seriously, it took me months before I could finally get by it (thanks to the help of a friendly user who offered to join in. With two people, to quote Bill Murray from Ghostbusters: "We came, we saw, we kicked his ass!").

I left it about midway through season 1, just felt too artificial sadly.

I just watched the webisodes last night. And my first thought was, "That would be an easy costume if I can find the EMC patch".

True. But there's a lot of patches in the show and game that can be made. I mean, for the game, there's the "DEFI" logo, there's a Hellbug patch (seen on a hat), the E-REP patches and such as well. Honestly, I wouldn't mind a few of the patches from the show.

Probably the same way other FTP MMOs do, paid ads here and there either in game or in the log in screens and the like, bennies for being a paid subscriber, and the most popular method these days is the micro-transaction whereby certain in-game items will exclusively available for purchase with real money only and available in game any other way. Want a cool vehicle, want a cool costume piece, an uber weapon, then prepare to pay cash.

Or, like always, players will have to pay for in-game items via the Defiance Store, and any DLCs are paid extras. The DLCs aren't really necessary to play the game, as I bought the standard game and still play with those who have them.

I just went to play and I have to upgrade to 2.0. At least they figured out a while back how to do an upgrade that does not require reinstalling the entire game.

I think the whole reinstalling the entire game thing was their attempt at making sure players weren't playing pirated copies of the game. Since they've made it FtP, it's safe to say they don't have to do the entire game reinstall for protective measures anymore.

I've already played the first mission of Season 2. Waiting for the update now so I can play the second mission, featuring Stahma Tarr.

The first mission took maybe 45 minutes. It made me realize the threat level and scaling might not be such a bad idea.

I know exactly how you mean. During my attempt to finish the final part of the episode mission, I was like, "What if this had been the old way? I would have been stuck like I was on A Bullet for a Bad Man!"

I started up playing again the other day. I was pleased to see my shooting skills haven't deteriorated too much. Shame I can't say the same for my driving... :$:facepalm

Don't know. I had to wait for an update to install when they switched to FTP.

It's like riding a bike. It takes time. TBH, even my driving skills isn't always 100%.

So, now that it is too late, did anyone watch the live feed with Jaime and Grant? It was fairly interesting. I'm wondering if I ever shot Grant in EVE Online.
