Deadpool Search (CLOSED :( )

I've been on here for a while and into costuming for a lot longer (at least, wanting to make a costume, I haven't finished a suit yet, but this is where I'm going...) and I've been considering buying what I need and assembling instead of making everything myself.

What I am wondering is, does anyone know if I can buy a custom sized morph suit, or zentai suit (I think that's sort of the same...). Why I would need it custom, is I don't fit a lot of generic sizes, I'm 6'3", 180 lbs, with long arms and legs (hardly much of a torso) and generally speaking my shoulder span isn't much to brag about either, so now you can see my dilemma.

Also I'm not/can't spend a whole lot on the suit, being I'm just taking a little out every paycheck (sadly not much) to put together the suit. I'd be willing to sew a pattern (given a good price for the pattern).

My range is hopefully $20, at most $40 altogether (shipping, assembly, etc).

I'm still undecided as to what I would make using the suit (I have a few ideas, I just can't decide on which at the moment), I'm just testing the waters with this, but I'm thinking an original designed Deadpool or Spider man (though I'll probably be the world's tallest spiderman :p ).

Any input on this would be greatly appreciated, even if it's just good luck :p

Re: Custom Morphsuit. Any makers? (plz move to junkyard)

Okay, thread just about closed after this...

Alright, after doing some research (which I should have done in the first place), I came up with a site that looked like it would fit my needs, and maybe the needs of any others.

Custom Morph Zentai Suits - Zentai-Zentai.com

Now, has anyone ordered from here? and what quality of work have you received?

That's all folks.

Re: Custom Morphsuit. Site in question.

Yeah you can check Chinese sites,

I know Superfan Suits does customizations for free but their suits costs like 40 to 65 dollars.

Just be careful with Chinese site I know Milanoo is bad and good.

Someone on posted about this site for the Amazing Spiderman Zentai It is great. I am sure they do customizations too.....

Re: Custom Morphsuit. Site in question.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm leaning deadpool (Just because I can pull him off better than spiderman) so I'm only going to need a straight red pattern (then my design will take care of the rest of the black areas.

Also I had a question about puff painting? How... how exactly do you paint the areas where you want? Is there a pen like application, also how flexible is the paint after you've put it on (say for instance, doing the original movie spiderman web design in puff pain)?

Re: Custom Morphsuit. Site in question.

Check Superhero costumes store | fancy super hero costume ideas for party

They can even make your superhero suit custom.
They run about $40 - 80

I know your on a budget but you need to realize it just won't work, you need to put some more money into it.

I take out money from each paycheck too, even when I tried to do a low budget build (aquaman) i still spend about $120.

I understand the whole expense thing. The suit was just going to be one of the things I would have to buy, if I did DP I would have to fabricate the eye/mask part, buy airsoft vests to finish my plan for it, as well as boots, airsoft guns, and swords, which is why I was hoping to not have to spend too much on the suit. Thanks for the link though! I'll be seeing what they offer.

Use the search functions for puff paint.
Most people do it on patterns.
I would suggest drawing it on with a washable drawing ink, like chalk.

No it is not puff paint in the 2002 spiderman movies.....

Re: Custom Morphsuit. Site in question.

No, I know more than that about costumes, it was a form of plastic, my question was how would it work if applied 'like' the 2002 spiderman films?

Also will do the searching, I know I've seen a million and one threads asking this question.

Re: Custom Morphsuit. Site in question.

Well if you feel like drafting a pattern yourself and getting it sewn by someone else or even yourself...I'd suggest this site. It's all about making catsuits (AKA zentai suits.) I actually just finished sewing a Deadpool suit I modified the patterns on that site for. It came out a lot better than I expected being I had never sewn a suit before. Downside? If you don't get fabric cheap etc....it could cost just as the same if not more than getting it from an online supplier. So pros and cons I guess ^_^

And about puffy paint. The bottle of paint I got was from Tulip and the applicator that comes with it is very precise. Here's an example of what it looks like.

Looking forward to your Deadpool build if you make one!

Thanks! That's very helpful, I may sew my own, a may not, I'll look into how much the cost will be compared making my own, ordering one.

That picture definitely was one of the things I was interested in about the paint, I wouldn't be using it for DP per say, but a batman suit in the future for a kevlar texture, but that's for another day ;)

I'll look into the fabric, if I did sew my own, I would have more control over the design, but then again, my plan didn't really have a lot for the undersuit, so we'll see. Thanks again for the link, it looks to be helpful. :)

Re: Custom Morphsuit. Site in question.

Alright, I'm going to check today at hobby lobby about the fabric, I'm in question, I know that you'll need different amounts of material for each person, but how much have you bought for a suit like this? I've never sewn anything like this before (I'm the armorer remember :p ) so just a rough estimate would be more than appreciated.

Re: Going for Deadpool, now looking for pre-made suit.

Okay, a trip to Hobby Lobby and Joanne fabrics turned up nothing, and what was there was pretty high :( so I'm going to buy one. I'm going to look more for one in the morning, but I'd appreciate any leads, I'll probably be asking about some of the sites I turn up (i.e. reviews needed).

Also, I've heard morphsuits generally need a dance belt (or jock strap), are they a necessity, or just a courtesy/extra measure? I don't want to turn my suit into any too graphic :p
