So This is my Dead Space Helmet, I Actually made it in only 2 days. Was a really simple build.

First off I went down to the local Goodwill and purchased a child's helmet, Stripped the paint and everything off. Fiberglassed the inside. used paper to line and bondo/fiberglass a longer portion to the back. Sanded and primers the entire thing. Then simply used different thickness's of foam to add the Front visor and all other pieces. Added some bolts for effects. Gave it a roughed up type paint job. Installed 3 El Tape LED's for the inside visor and Bam Bam all done :)

Super simple build for a great looking helmet. Hope you guys like it.

Wow! I love it...that's rather inspiring to amatuer prop builders... I'm not even an amateur, rather a green rookie who wants to do some of this....

Heh trust me I'm a rookie too lol only been at this profession for about a year total heh .... Just got to have the drive for it and u can do anything

How much is this LED tape stuff you used and where to you get it? This is great, I'd love to make one for myself.

You can get it from alot of different sites. I like to use this one. Ellumiglow

U can buy it by the foot. easy to instal. runs on started AA or AAA battery packs. for the helmet i just used 3 1 foot tapes, wired them to a single battery pack. looks great.
