Hey guys I'm looking at finishing off my vader display and was wondering who makes the best screen accurate stuff,
Looking for
-esb gloves
-shin guards
-chest box leather straps
-esb e boxes

Also can anyone recommended a good mannequin to go with?

Thanks

About the mannequin: The best way is to build your own.So you can set the Vader in the pose you want.Normal mannequins are ok...but I think they are looking never real.
I have 2 manequins bought from ebay...one for my vader and one for the stormtrooper..but not really happy with them. For the Vader you must look for a more bulky and big mannequin.

Hi there,

for bulking up an existing mannequin use ... lots of bubblewrap and fasten with ducktape to be worn under your leather costume. As for the screen accurate stuff perhaps best the vendors themselves reply? I'm curious to know them as well, now that I've been making an ESB for a customer with a Darth Ugly mask and dome :)

I hear Magnoli or Fenix Props are good for gloves, I got my shin guards from Portumac and they are great looking. Definitely contact KevVader for accurate chest box straps, as well as AceReplicas for the belt boxes, his are machined and are great looking.

As for the mannequin, I ended up grabbing a 6'4'' one off ebay and modified it by bulking it up using bubble wrap and tape, as well as heel risers and insoles in the boots to bring it up to a height of 6'8'' in full armor.

However, if you're looking for a perfect size mannequin straight off the bat, mannequinmode.com features a 6'5'' tall muscular male mannequin. Jump over there and take a look, I believe they run for around $200+ though.

Absolutely check out the 501st sith lord detachment forum. Nearly all the Vendors I mentioned are active there and will take orders through a 'general store' thread.

Good Luck with your project.

I bought the biggest Mannequin avalaible and cut the torso in half to "stretch" it to Prowse's height. Then I applied lots of bubblewrap to the body, arms and legs to make him more muscular. Finally I installed some rods to his arms to lengthen these as well - after my torso-stretching the proprtions were off. He is a bit "static" compared to the Stormtrooper next to him but that's perfectly ok. I added a lightsaber in the meantime so he has something in his hand.
