Darth Vader ESB saber help

The nameplate is attached with 2 tiny rivets ... if you dremel them from the inside they should pop off quite easily ... but it requires to get the inner guts out first before you have access from the inside ... perhaps you could also dremel the rivets from the outside?

Forgive my ignorance, but wouldn't that leave 2 holes? Or are the holes there in the prop?

From the pics, it seems like they popped the nameplate right out after removing the river head from the outside

Those screws were most likely added after production or near the end of use of the prop . . . sofar no pictures of the hero on Vader's belt have confirmed them. Indeed propguys are usually not that careful when a prop needs to be made in a short amount of time ... it's even possible this ESB/ROTJ saber was one of the hero's in ANH :wacko
