Darth Vader ANH - information about Honeywell red / green switch covers for chest box

Here is what I have found out about these little guys!

From what I understand, the red and green buttons on the ANH chest piece are from Microswitch/ Honeywell. The items used are still for sale and part of a three piece switch cover. There are two possible variations of the switch - and both variations will work.

One variation is a colored base with a colored top, the other is a colored base with a clear top. Because the base is the same (and is what you want to use), either switch should work. In other words, prospective Vaders could order #2A66 or #2A81 for red and #2A68 or #2A85 for green.

If you all want them, they are ALL still in production and may be found easily. I ordered mine from onlinecomponents.com, Switches Unlimited - Automation Specialists, and www.jameco.com.
