The clip reminds me of parts I've seen in rolling drawers... where you attach the drawers to the tracks. But can't think of any exactly like that.

I swear I've seen that kind of attachment on a multi-tool or utility knife or something. Used to attach it to your work belt.

i am running to lowes this weekend, i KNOW ive seen this clip before. i know it wasnt on a tape measure but i swear it was safety glasses i was looking at... i was up late last night going through safety glasses and cant find it but i know ive seen this clip before
