Hello there!

I fiberglassed the chest this afternoon and noticed some problems with the symmetry of the piece. Can anyone help me in order to correct this flaw? Heat Gun? Bondo stage?

I know none will notice when I'll wear the suit but, hey, I still know it's there :(

Even if it's already fiberglassed? Do I have to heat it strong? Any suggestion of temperature and method to keep it in good position while cooling (tape?)?

you only need a hair dryer on high heat buddy you only need to heat it up till its easy to move and reshape and then you could just hold in place over your chest its self so that you get the basic shape you need but make sure you wear a t shirt lo or you may burn your self a lil ( speaking form experiance lol )

I think I made more symmetric. Not perfect but a bit better. Thanks for the advices

Hey guys, maybe it's not really related but... does anyone know how to connect the legs(both thigh and shin already connected) such that when i walk, it doesnt start dropping by themselves?

I think you need a strap that connects the thighs to the COD. Assuming the COD is fixed in place :)

After watching Iron Man 3 movie, I can't wait to finish my suit.
Bondo & Sanding stage is really killing me.

@jasonamigo23 well... thats what i thought, but that leads to another question... how do i make it stay in place w/o dropping? O_O

I used a belt to which the cod was connected with elastic loops and from the belt were loops with velcro that attached to the inside of the thighs. The front of the cod was completely removable for wc convenience

Is it more difficult than pepakura or just really long and repetitive?

You can take as many measurements as you want. Using the measurement tool you can measure between any two vertices in the 3D model.


For some reason I am still not getting thread update notices. I will see what I can do to fix it.

"long and repetitive" Yeah, that's what she said! :p

And I used to play World of Warcraft as a hardcore player so, while farming, I'm used to repetitive tasks :D
