Hi. I'm a new one here, but I've started working on my Iron Man Mark 7 suit a few months ago. Here's some pictures about my project. Hope you like them! I'm a bit big buy, so I had to rescale almost the whole suit.

Very nice! You look like you are doing a good job with those files. I like seeing them in traditional pepakura. There are not enough people building these with cardstock.

Figured I'd post some progress pics to pay respects to you, one pic is my mark 4 to show you the kinda work i did on my first suit ever. New ones gonna be casted outta plastic.

Thanks! I'd like to finish this project before the premiere of IM 3. I got some ideas I'd like to make, e.g. an aluminium ARC reactor (https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/55987_189483607855467_476534796_o.jpg) and a lot of moving parts (faceplate, flaps on shins and on the back, and maybe on the lower forearm). Maybe I'll build a voice changer. I hope that I can finish it

who has a Silhouette? does it perforate the score lines too?
If anyone knows id like to know..

yeah the silhouette is a charm. I love it. it cuts and scores the valley and mountain lines. saves so much time on cutting. Wish it would fold the pep as well LOL. You'd think I'd be done with my suit with the machine but I've only got the helmet, chest, and back armor done. still need to bondo chest and back armor. But, yeah the silhouette really works. It's worth getting.

Well here's as far as I got before Halloween. So close yet so far...

The light-red parts just haven't been clear-coated yet. The chest looked worse than they do and wound up the same shade.

Its been said before and I'll say it again, going the Dupli-Color Perfect Match route is a bank breaker! BUT a friend of mine works at an auto garage and, after making some calls, said he could get me quart-cans for use with a spray gun. I didn't ask the price, because I just finished stocking up on aerosol cans, but I imagine it would be a lower price per square foot.

Its far from perfect, but I learned a lot with this being my first foam and first full-body armor build. After I finish this I have a lot of half-way done projects to finish, but I'm thinking I'd like to do a full paper pep and bondo to molds to fiberglass build in the distant future, maybe with your V2 files! I'm not sure yet, because I can find -something- I don't like about each of the suits (except maybe the mark I, but that's a whole other level) and its a big commitment.

Ok, this might be a stupid question, but I've just made up the abs section and I'm not 100% sure on how the ring parts all line up together. I understand that the spine parts need to sit edge to edge, but looking at the model it seems as if the sides kind of overlap. If anyone could explain exactly how it fits together, or give me a clue, it would be appreciated .

Please have a little patience. I get like 15 - 20 password requests a day. You just PM'ed me yesterday and I replied to you a little while ago. I am ussually pretty busy on the weekends so I don't get as much time on the computer. So everyone just have a little patience.
