Darkening a silicone mask?

So I got myself a Imp mask from CFX for an eventual Green Goblin or Goblin Knight cosplay, but it ended up being more saturated than I expected.

Is there anyway to give a consistent darkening to the mask to achieve a more earthy/leafy green? A first thought that comes to mind is with something like a diluted black silicone paint wash from an airbrush.

the mask looks great!

Better it be light, easier to darken than to lighten

It's a great mask. I would suggest checking with the company that made it before you do anything.

Airbrushing with Sil-Poxy (mixed with color) or Silc Pig might work. Stan Winston School was a great 2 part course on painting silicone masks. Te course takes a lot of the guess work out of it.

I successfully painted silicone after watching the course.

Thanks for the advice guys. I did a search for dyeing as a method for silicone and did come across a tutorial suggesting using clothing dye at a low temp to color the silicone. Will have to see what the effect looks like on a small section of the mask first though.
