That costume is just aweful. They stole the josie and the pussycat ears! The mask and ears HAVE to go! The rest I can live with.

This version is quite the let down. I was expecting it to be on par with the Dark Knight's armor but sleaker. I agree that she is channel Julie Newmar in this outfit. At least the 60's tv show fans might get a giggle out of it.

Ugh. Where do all these chicks keep getting expensive ridiculous form-fitting latex and kevlar "battlesuits" in these movie universes??!:lol Superheroes R Us?
I hate it, but I hated the Tumbler at first. I just thought they were going for the more realistic comic book "cat burglar" look Catwoman has in the comics these days, not another copycat (sorry) of an old TV show (the failed Wonder Woman costume). Those heels and thigh high boots are NOT practical, and the mask hides nothing, and is like a cheesy Halloween leftover.
Plus, I wish Nolan picked a hotter and stronger actress. He has bad luck casting women- Katie Holmes (ruined the movie), Maggie Gyllenhaal (crippled the movie), and now Hathaway (my wife hates her). Not strong female actresses by a long shot. I'd even pick Angelina Jolie, and she creeps me out.

It looks like the rear half of a mask to me. Like the front portion has been removed for some reason....

I believe she's wearing wedges. Very high ones. But they are wedges. The right foot looks photoshopped, the left is clearly a wedge as are the earlier batpod images.
That being said. I don't think it's an awful costume. Just painfully boring. Very much a let down.
And I have to disagree with you Rodann. Hathaway is a very strong actress (the other two I'm with you on). I don't think I've ever seen her in anything I didn't love her in. She's talented and great in interviews (the mark of a good entertainer). Sad that her Oscar hosting stint was torpedoed by her co-hosts lack of anything resembling interest in what he was doing. She was actually good.
I love the choice of her as Catwoman.
I can tolerate EVERYTHING about Catwoman's suit except for those gawddang high heels. I never bought Nolan's reasoning that his take of Batman is supposed to be more "realistic", because it's not. It's just less silly and more dramatic than the two Schumacher Batman movies. But no, he and his team keep on insisting that Nolan's Batman movies are for real. They even have a BluRay feature solely dedicated to explaining how everything can work.

**In best Stewie voice** "Thank you". I always wonder how difficult it was for Heath Ledger to squeeze out that "you are beautiful" line. Even more so when more than a few people in the theater chuckled. I believe the fat ass sitting next to me threw up a little in his mouth because he had finished his nacho's long before that scene yet I smelled nachos and heard him gulp just after the line.

They should have had Phillip Seymore Hoffman as the penguin. (not a mutant penguin like Devito) and Johnny Depp as the Riddler. That was the first word I heard after TDK.
