Dark Knight Rises

Counting the days for this film. I still hope we eventually get a Bat/Supes movie, but until then and in the spirit of the season...

He should have flipped out like he did to that lighting guy.

While in China to promote a movie, Christian Bale attempted to meet a personal hero, Chen Guangcheng, a blind lawyer and activist who is confined to his home and guarded by Chinese police. The police pushed and punched Bale and members of the film crew with him, and they then chased the actor’s car as he fled the location.

Wow. I really liked the first trailer, but the second was very blah. Still excited about this, but wasn't impressed with that trailer at all.

What is Bane saying?

"When Gotham is ashes, you'll have (no other reason to) die."

Does Christopher Nolan have a super epic hearing that can understand things that most folk would normally not understand? I like how menacing Bane's voice sounds, but it's so muddled.

"When Gotham is ashes, you have my permission to die."

The problem is that we're only hearing it through camera audio so far, which muffles the audio even further. It's kind of hard to understand what most of the rest of the cast is saying, too. I'm holding off judgement until I can hear direct-feed. I assume the real trailer will be online here in a few days.

Wouldnt surprise me really - this is intended to be the end of the story - How could Bruce Wayne ever live and not be Batman? Maybe he gives his life as the ultimate sacrifice at the end of this movie. I wouldn't be surprised either way really. Its gonna rock regardless...

The poster is typical of a comic cover to make you go, oh crap! the hero dies????
Of course in comics the big heros (and villians) never actually die, they come back somehow someway every time.

I would strongly suspect that is the case here.

So the mask is shattered? Bane known as the the man who broke the Bat in comics of course.

Only for Bats to rise up again.
Maybe this time, the mask is not a helmet anymore, the armour suit gone, and we see a Batman that is even closer to the comic vision that takes it back to Bane.

Well, in the movies he has been moving AWAY from being armored and embracing the fact that what he does is dangerous

That's my dream. His skills evolve past needing armor, at least sometimes.
Then the comic really comes to life, and people can buy into it because it's been a process they've seen moving towards it.

Just saw the new trailer and it was mediocre :/

Not really feeling Anne Hathaway in the scenes they showed her in....and you can barely understand Bane

It didnt get me excited for the film....more meh

They really do need to do something about Bane's voice. I could only make out about half of what he said during the prologue that showed with M:I.
