Dark Crystal - Map of Thra

We don't see enough props from this great movie, so I thought I'd throw this up....

With my Mystic head from Skygunbro arriving in the post, I decided I had to finally get round to a map project that's been on hold for a while. While this map doesn't appear on screen (I don't think so anyway), it is featured on a huge double page spread in The World of the Dark Crystal Book (which I still need to get...).

So using screencaps of the pages from Amazon.co.uk's book preview function, I pasted the map image together, printed it at about A3 size, and traced the main features onto some heavily aged (tea/coffee stained) paper and inked over it and drew in the details. Finished it off with a little coloured pencil colouring (heck, I'm a primary school teacher!) and carefully tore the edge and darkened it with brown and black felt tip pens.

I would love to see some of the props be re created from the new series as well. Things like the sword and the talisman that brought Lore to life.

I got to make one now! Loving it! I am also trying to gather some of the props from the new serie, see what can be done! Loved Brea's book, there was some nice close shots of it in the documentary the crystal calls! That's probably something I'm planning to make!

Does anyone have the digital file of this map? I've wanted to make my recreation for a while and can't get a good image from the book anywhere. And I would absolutely hate to have to ruin a copy to cut out the pages so I can get a clean scan.

I reached out to Howlrunner but they haven't been active for a while.
