Alright so I've seen lots of discussion of Daft Punk robot masks, but I haven't seen anyone tackle the Dog mask from the Daft Punk video for "Da Funk"

I imagine it was custom made, but I was wondering if anyone had any more info, or even a reasonable Halloween-quality substitute. I might just wait till next year and go all out and sculpt it...

I've never seen a quality "Charles" costume so far. I remember once seeing a guy carrying a boom box and wearing a dog mask, the kind that only covers the face. Thats about it.

I used to have a video favorited on youtube that might have helped. It was a "Making of" of the costume in question. Sadly its been removed. It was from the D.A.F.T. dvd.

If I remember correctly... They made a mold of the guys head, sculpted a blood hounds head on top, and then cast it in probably latex. There were some animatronics to move the eye brows, nose, and ears. The mouth was just moved up and down with the actors jaw. The ears were made of some lighter material to give them the ability to flap realistically. The guy also wore dark brown contacts and blacked out around his eyes with make up.

The whole thing was just a mask that slipped over his head, no seams. The paw-gloves just slipped on as well.

Thats all I got!

I've seen some of these costumes over the years and I have yet to see a good one.
I want to know what material you use to make the scrulps out of
